Manga dealing with the environment/nature

I'm looking for manga that have something at least vaguely to do with the environment and/or nature, or perhaps manga about the way humans are destroying the world through technology.
Good example is Mushishi.

Its been awhile since I've read it but X had a theme with conflict of humanity or nature at least in the background...

One of the stories in Majo has that theme present.
From what I remember, Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä deals with that a bit.
There's a fansubbed version of the movie of Miyori no Mori floating around, and it deals with that on a sort of superficial level.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

I second Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind. Even if you've seen the anime, go read the manga! Hayao Miyazaki never disappoints. 'Nough said.

Plus environment is his big theme: It's also present in "Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle", "Princess Mononoke", "Laputa" and the rest of his works to various extents.
Eureka 7's major subtheme is about the environment.
Hikkatsu!'s about technology
I think Eternal Sabbath touched on it, or I'm just associating dystopian manga with dangers of technology.

Tsuki to Mizu no Yoru is a nice story with deals with this matter.
If you're wary of the shounen-ai, you shouldn't be, since you can't even tell most of the time.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

Global garden - nature plays a big part in the story, at least in a fantasy respect. mankind destroying this nature is an important part of the story. It sounds very close to what you want.
please save my earth - from the same mangaka. Nature has less to do with the story but still plays an intergral role.

Under the Dapple Shade is about a girl who sorta communes with plants.
Pet Shop of Horrors is very up-with-nature, down-with-humans.

Witches (collection of short stories, one deals with the destruction of rainforests)
Children of the Sea (same author as above)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (epic fantasy masterpiece, the protagonist tries to protect nature against corrupt forces)
Planetes (sci-fi slice of life stories revolving around a small crew of space binmen)
2001 Nights (another realistic sci-fi slice of life series, but the stories in this are not connected)
Eden (cyberpunk sci-fi, deals with various environmental issues amongst political, cultural and social ones)
Black & White (two rogue kids try to protect their city from Yakuza and an alien corportation)
The Ice Wanderer and other stories (six tales of man versus nature, two of which are inspired by short stories of Jack London)
