Anyway to add to a thread without having it bump? I often felt a feature like that could come in handy occasionally.

Yeah if you edit a post it does not bump the thread.

As for the OP as a feature I agree with lambchopsil. For the question part ... Have you ever edited a post? If you've made a post already, and wanted to add more you could always go back and edit the post to add more.

Yes yes, I know I make longwinded comments, but that's just me >.<
