It is wrong to read ecchi, smut, borderline h, and hentai because sex is wrong! Anything to do with sex is wrong! Any thing that exploits sexual desire is wrong! We should ban all manga with anything to do with sex, or implying sexual desire! Wait, why stop at manga, we should ban all medias while we're at it. But wait, why stop there? We should arrest everyone who has sex, acts lewdly, or even thinks about it! 🙄

If you think it's wrong that others read/like those genres, then it keep it to yourself because no one cares if you think it's wrong that they read/like it. If you don't know if you should consider it wrong, well if you're even questioning it obviously you think it's wrong, there you have your answer. If you think it's wrong, but still curious about it, or want to read it, hey that's something you should consult with your parents, religious adviser, yourself ...

(Just like how some people prefer shoujo over shounen. If someone else likes shoujo when you prefer shounen, that doesn't make that person wrong to like shoujo. You shouldn't just say shoujo is wrong, or ask is shoujo is wrong to read, because you don't like it.)

Well, it hurts nothing/no one. Therefore the only people who would believe that it's wrong are people who have been taught that it is. Therefore the only question you're really asking here is 'who has been taught that it's wrong', and their reasoning will be 'someone told me so'. If you're having some kind of moral conflict here, you should think for yourself about what is right and wrong and make your decisions based on the processes of your brain.
