Do I even want to know how long that car ride was? And what other exotic places have you visited that I've forgotten?

I don't know. I might have sleepwalked to somewhere.

Also Paris and Antwerp isn't that far away, you know.
Hmm, I think it was something like 2-3 hours...

My Grandpa lives there.

Okay, I was sort of panicking. If I'm stuck in a car, I'd better be able to listen to music or someone else in the car, otherwise I'll get car sick.

Try driving 500 miles at 2 am with nothing but a broken muffler to keep you company.

I did that once, except it was sunny as hell and the AC was busted, so it was a freaking sauna in the car.
It was cold as hell, so rolling down the window might've been worse. Who knows.

Whats worse than being in a car with no AC is being in a car with no heater/defrost. Driving down the road with a 7 inch circle to see out of because the only thing you had to scrape the frost was a flimsy ass name tag that just so happened to snap in half. mad

But personally, I have no problem just staring out the window for hours. I guess I am easily entertained. Music is nice though. Something instrumental, something to not influence my imagination too much.

Hm.... I've never been out of America before. Though I'm hopefully going to Japan next summer. As for other places I've been too...

California
New York
Pennsylvania
West Virginia
Maryland
Washington DC
Florida
Kentucky

and thats it. I would really like to go to Hawaii and Alaska some day.

Tomorrow I'm going one city over, which means about a fifteen minute car trip. That's probably as far as I'm going away from home for the entire month.

I've been to Canada, Mexico, France and Italy and I liked all of them! Oh, and a bunch of places in the US, I can't remember all of them...but the latest was New Orleans. And I liked all of them too, except for maybe Philadelphia. Traveling is really fun, even though every time I think about going somewhere new the language barrier freaks me out. But I would anywhere anyway if someone asked me to go, even Antarctica. Now I want to go all over the place, but the foreign countries I've really got my heart set on Japan, Peru, India, and Australia. I can't really explain why other than that there's something unique about each of those places that I can't quite pin-point and so need to visit in order to figure it out. Since I don't have any money at the moment, though, I'll probably just travel around the USA for a bit and do some camping and hiking. smile wink grin

That would almost be a relief sometimes. I've been crammed in the back seat of a small car with two brothers for two days straight on multiple occasions (most times we visit my grandparents). The trip is well over 1000 miles and the last few hundred are always tiny little two-lane highways. Luckily, now that my brothers are older and my parents finally sprung for an SUV, it's not as bad anymore...
