I live in Australia, so that's pretty much crossed off from places I would visit
I've actually been to Dubai, Sydney and the Gold Coast (above sydney).
They're all great places, but I gotta say Dubai was best. I actually went on a short desert safari there as well, got to see the tallest building in the world (Burj Khalifa), and The Dubai Mall as well as the Global Village. It's a great place. Shopping is awesome. About 3 dhirims is $1 australian.
