Despite the fact that this isn't an "American" film it still has a lot of manga qualities: Creepy little girl, loser who gets bullied in school, gruesome death scenes. IDK what it is w/ me and vampire flicks. 😕
Also Downloading Nancy has a very manga-ish plot, of course it's an H plot. I'm sure it could be done tastefully, w/o the usual things that define hentai.

Well, I think Matrix (at least the first two movies) would make a kickass manga series. Maybe... 😐

I say Pitch Black/Riddick
Not exactly following the movies per se, more like just using the character and universe as a setting for a manga.
I just love the character Riddick and I think a manga or comic starring him can have a lot of potential.

You know, although I really, really hated Twilight because of its fanfiction-level terrible writing (I didn't see the movies), it would probably make a pretty good shoujo manga. Actually, done well, it would make a very good shoujo manga. The plot and characters are really better-suited to manga than print, imo.

Also, kudos to Dawnveil for the Equilibrium suggestion.
I just watched 'Madlax' recently and thought it had something of an Equilibrium feel to it, only Madlax is female. =)
Hrm. I wonder if Real Genius could be made into a comedy manga somehow... I love that movie.
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

Underworld would make a nice action series.
thought so too. . .
how bout Predator? Jurassic Park? Even that movie "The Craft", with an altered story. Hmm. . . so many images of those turning manga-like are running through my head already.

Forrest gump, maybe. And after I watched She is the man, it looked to me a little like power!. that could be a manga too.

TWILIGHT! But yeah, there are already novels that feature drawings and stuff. But I think they can expand on it.
Maybe tomb raider, even though it was originally a video game. Also Angels & Demons and the Da Vinci Code. It could be a slow paced mystery/thriller manga. The drawings can also provide visual clues and imagery.

Well the movies I wouldn't want any American film made into manga because manga seems to destroy the main foundations things are made of take the marvel mangaverse for example. Oh and those who keep saying Twilight are a little slow there was some development team making it into a manga oh and that movie sucks.(Had to say it sorry)
