None, EVER. Just as manga should not be made into American films. Most adaptations of any sort pretty much blow.

What if i say that the plot of a decent American movie is better than many manga out there (even some top popular manga)? anyway, it just that whether the mangaka want to do it or whether he has enough talent to do it.
Lord of the Rings of course, Wanted ,lol and Spider man series(argh, don't bash me, please)
& Warcraft I -->III would be an epic manga though it hasn't been made into movies yet, and i know about Sunwell trilogy it disappointed me seriously

Totally. America bastardizes Japanese media, and Japan bastardizes America media.

Did anyone say the matrix yet? i thought that movie deserved manga attention, since the anime shorts were pretty well done. 😃

None. I can't think of any. The ones I like are better off staying as movies. Those I don't like I don't care... If they make any, I won't read them. 😐

eh, i would be too afraid of japan killing the storylines to suit their audiences ;/
only one i might give a green light to would be monty python and the holy grail. the ridiculousness might translate nicely to manga format 😀

I'd say any number of chick flicks would make decent shoujo or josei mangas. ^^ And I'd love to see manga versions of period dramas or classic literature adaptations. Manga Jane Austen could be so charming.
high school musical......if it had them all dieing
There actually is a manga version of High School Musical. (o_o) It's as terrible as one would imagine.

American Movies Suck A! Simple as that. Over the years it's gotten to the point where people can't write, so they make re-makes of old films that did fairly well in their time.
This question should have been: What American books should be made into manga?

Hmm, how about mangas based on:
Mad Max
My goodness, I saw the title of this topic and thought Mad Max immediately. Good to see people with some genius.
Gladiator would make a good 4-5 volume manga series, I'd think.
Highlander too (though Kurozuka strikes me as very Highlanderish).
Also, kudos to Dawnveil for the Equilibrium suggestion.
