Wow...
For a while, I thought that TANABE Yellow and the authors of Whistle and Shoot are male.
I read so much mangas, I'm too lazy to watch anime! 😛 😛 😛

You're right, some of these are total shockers. Never would have guessed. As long as the manga is well-written, it doesn't matter what gender the author is.

D.Gray-man surprised me, it just feels like a person who's sporting some extra equipment wrote this.
An instant or an eternity. Both are the same, in the passing of an instant lies the beauty of eternity.

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

I knew Katekyoushi Hitman Reborn was known for its bishies, but I never realized the mangaka was a woman. I was surprised by some of the other Shounen ones like Hiromu Arakawa (FMA) and Tanabe Yellow (Kekkaishi) when I first learned they were women, but that was a couple of years ago.
A real shocker for me was Kaworu Watashiya, the mangaka of Kodomo no Jikan. Given the content, I thought for sure it was a guy...

Not really surprised at most of them.

I've been more surprised at mangakas I've found were male 😛

Really? I got the impression it was a woman early on, from the delicate art alone.
Huh...
I knew some of them already had female Mangaka, but there were some on there where I was like "Oh. Well that's interesting". Nothing majorly surprising though. I think the most surprising ones were the ones I already knew about XD
It does remind me when I found out that the artist LEE Soo Hyun was female though. I was already in love with the art, but my respect for it just went up a notch when I found out the artist was female.
No idea why, it just did. Women who draw ecchi are win 🤣

I seriously don't care whether the author is a man or a woman but... Dorohedoro 😲 . Seriously I didn't see that one coming. And also the Sekirei business is truly disturbing 🤣 .
