Main character(-ish with glasses)

In manga, people with glasses are always fulfilling some kind of stereotype. They're either super smart, introvert, shy, not-good with people, strict/ stern teacher-ish, etc., or the opposite, super not-smart or having a dual-life. I need some examples of manga with normal/ average glasses-wearing people, please. Someone whose glasses is basically just a necessity because they're short-sighted/ near-sighted.The more atypical glasses-wearing protagonists the better: upbeat, popular (not in smart, school president/ secretary-kind of way), etc.
I can just think of Machida-kun no Sekai or Mousou Telepathy for now. Even then they are pretty text-book glasses-wearing characters, so I'm pretty short of examples.
There are a lot of manga under Glasses-Wearing+Male+Lead and Glasses-Wearing+Female+Lead, recs from some will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion. Yep, this is one example I'm looking for.
Junai Strip- the female lead is dumb, and yes it's smut
Warau Kanoko-sama- the female lead is not a genius (but gets good grades and observant), but she's not a stereotype glasses girl (to me anyways)
Rensou Mode- a oneshot, but despite looking like a nerd, she's a daydreamer (and not to mention, its a hilarious)
I'm in idol hell T.T

As a fan of bespectacled characters myself, I always find it frustrating how very stereotyped they tend to be. Anyway, here go my recs (I can't be sure that you'll agree with them, though, since the idea of 'stereotypical' tends to vary from person to person) :
Cross (OOGA Asagi) - It's only a oneshot, though.
Dendrobates
Ouroboros
Diabolo
Himitsu
Katana
Let's Take the Train Together, Shall We?
Gunjou - If you don't mind yuri.
Sakamoto Desu ga? - The protagonist is an all-rounder to an almost unbelievable extent, and glasses guys are usually never all-rounders.
Mondlicht - Tsuki no Tsubasa
Shiritsu Araiso Koutou Gakkou Seitokai Shikkoubu - Another all-rounder.

Wow, there are a lot of them! Haven't got the chance to read them, but based on the description (and the cover arts), they sure seem non-stereotypical.
Will def check them. Thanks!

Tonari no Megane-kun.
My Girl (SAHARA Mizu)
It's been a while since I read these two, but I think these both have normal guys who just happen to wear glasses.
Emma might also be of interest to you if you like historical. (Usotoki Rhetoric is another historical manga, the protagonist is rather upbeat but has special powers.).
A character with glasses that I thought was rather unconventional was Saizou in Teruteru x Shounen.

Oh, these are good examples! I did read Emma and am reading Usotoki Rhetoric, but haven't put them in the list yet.
Thanks!
