Which FF game should i play next?

That is the problem, once you learn how to use the FFVIII system the game becomes the easiest FF EVER, and I don't like that >_>

wow, thats a lot of detail! and im loving it XD
im more of a character and sometimes plot kind of person so its hard for me to really hate a game XD
except for FFIII (i have the redone version for DS) which has almost no real character development except for some basic personalities. Still trying to work my way through it though, the plot is a little unclear =/
and i loooove love stories XD so FFVIII seems very interesting 😛
plus im a KH fan, so i've been introed to some of the characters to the FF series and i like em all 😛
So far i don't think im gonna go order wise, cause with such a strong urge to play FFVII, and also FFVIII now, i think i may play FFV either third, or even last =/

FFVII just play it, as long as you have tv or music in the background u'll never get bored of it.
FFVIII got a steep learning curve, has a naruto-like feel to it, except with mercenaries instead of ninja.
FFIX, separattes itself from the others cuz VII and VIII take themselves too seroiusly. pretty fun overall.
why not all 3? u can probably get it all for like 20 bucks on ebay.

It's sad you're going to play ff7 first. it's the most overrated sh** i have ever played. it's the video game version of Lord of the Rings. Good but not that good.
let see. i haven't played the old stuff. like FF1 and 2 just was confusing graphic wise. i left it alone. maybe play one of the remakes later. though i own like the olds ones in the double packs etc.
8 is good. better than 7 >_> the battle system is easy. if you find it confusing then you probably shouldn't play any rpgs. Or you can hire someone to hold your hand while you play, since that's what it amounts to if you need help.
9 is by far epically fun and light hearted. <333 awseome movies just grand all around
10 rocks. and has hours of extras. 10-2 blows. only buy if you wanna complete the collection.. OR... like me, you want the perfect ending of the game etc <_<
11 << rofl.. don't mention it in public
12... sucks story, but i liked the battle system somewhat. since there is no changing the screen. yes turn based rocks, but it is a bit time consuming. eitherway.. play 12 last. i didn't even finish it... and i finished 10-2 a few times.. so yes.. 12 blows in terms of captivating you.
FF tactics.. haven't finished.. in fact i started it ages ago, i'm starting it over tonight actually. Amusing that i saw this post before putting it in my ps2 😀
it's a strategic game so um.. u may wanna hold off until later for this. Some people don't like the style. it's good though XD
So all together.. just play them in order to be honest, though i rather you not play 7 first and become another retarded fangirl about the schizophrenic main character and his obsession with an bio engineered badass. oh did i mention the ever loveable mako energy.. cause the world is dying 😛 lolz

Oh play FFV first for sure!
It's always very satisfying to be able to make your characters do 2-handed x-fight, or summon Bahamut 5 times in one turn. JOB SYSTEM RULEZ!!

I got all 4, im just deciding which order im gonna play them cause i did get them on ebay, but it needs to cross the border and it will take a few weeks
and its not 20 bucks, FFVII is on average 40-50 by itself on ebay, and thats with iffy condition. and in my nearby stores its almost 120 cause they get one every year or so cause there are craploads of collectors in the area

Lord of the rings wasn't bad. It was just blown out of proportion. It got like 9 million awards and was hailed as the most epic thing ever. Final Fantasy 7 is the same way. First FF game on playstation. First 3d one also etc etc. good game, not THAT good. as for sequels... personally i'd love one with FF9 where you play as kuja <_<
anyway, legend of dragoon is a must play. The battle is somewhat interactive, and it's just all around awesome. Same with Xenogears. Xenogears is REALLLLLLLLLLLY epic. Creams FF7. >_> Same company made it, so don't get mad 😛 Same with Chrono cross. same company, great game, at least in my opinion. XD
Wild arms 2 is a must buy also. It is classic. Like most companies.... Their games got worse as time went on... like Wild arms 4 is total failure. haven't bothered with 5. 3 was eh.. i haven't finished. and only played the remake of 1 but it's kinda eh also. 2 on the other hand is a gem, so try it out XD
Oh started Tactics again last night. It's not bad XD for its time i'm sure it was epic. It uses a good system. i've seen worse on ps2 games XD So if you like strategy games pick that one up also then XDDD
Eh... these old ps1 games are stirring up old feelings XDD It's too bad we get good graphics but bad games now. i'd settle for ps1 graphics if they could make an epic game like they used to... just make it 4 ps2 discs also, so it takes 150-200 hours XD I'd faint if something like that happened.. which it won't >_>

ya, most of the games i play are really good graphics but lack actual plot development and whatnot. like assassins creed, freeky good graphics for ps3 but the plot was definitely lacking x.x

Assasin`s creed was such a dissapointment 🙁 , it started of really nice but got incredibly repeative after a little while.
btw i would like to suggest some more awsome rpgs for you 😀
Star ocean 2(PSX): probably my favourite regarding gameplay
Valkyrie Profile(PSX): a masterpiece about norway mythology
Grandia(PSX): just epic, the best caracter development ever(story-wise), awsome story, unbelievable battle system
Shadow Hearts 1&2(PS2)(the 3rd game sucks): Demonicaly good
Xenosaga episodes 1-3(PS2): Well...i cant say i really enjoyed those games, but the story is at least on xenogears level (btw, although xenogears was released many years ago, it is actually the 5th episode of the xenosaga. Episode 4 will be released soon, hopefully 😀 ) **Tales of Phantasia(PSX)**: One of the best games of the SNES, in its most perfect form, featuring voice acting, fmvs, extras, and upgraded graphics. Unfortanutately, it was only released in Japan but a fan translation was recently finished after a lot of years of work
Tales of the Abyss(PS2): If you can get around the awfull american voice acting, it is one of the best of the series(along with tales of Rebirth that was unfortunately only released in Japan).Btw you can find a USA undubbed hacked version of it featuring japanese voices on the net.
Disgaea(PS2): what i can say wouldnt be enough about this game, its just unbelievably funny and fun, i used to think that tactic rpgs would always be inferior to the tradtional kind, but this game made me changed my mind, even when FF tactics, Shining Force, Vandal hearts and many other couldnt. Also one of the few games that includes both japanese and american voice acting.

omg i know, assassins creed was just kill kill kill and you rarely got a good section of plot development
and valkyries profile i've played on my friends psp, i LOVED it, but since i don't own it i don't play it anymore cause its not mine x.x
the others sound freeky awesome so i'll check 'em out asap 😛

what's with people naming random rpg's. o well i add my two piece
suikoden and shin megami tensei series is a hit on ebay, GL with those though even rarer than final fantasy.
