Ugh...I missed the part of this chapter where it said that Uzumaki and Senju are distant reltives. My bad.
I found the symbol on Mito's forehead interesting. That's the same symbol on Tsunade's forehead, right? It's likely Tsunade may have learned that technique from Mito.

That's a really nice way of putting it! I think that that's what it really comes down to in this series: family + community as a whole = love.
Not a bad chapter. Not exciting, per se, but we got a lot of information out of it, so I can't complain about that! It's no surprise Naruto has some blood relation to the Senju. When Madara told Naruto how he and Sasuke were fated to fight as last remaining members of the Uchiha & Senju, they pretty much hit you over the head right there that Naruto had some relationship to the Senju. So this is just a confirmation that it is in fact a blood relationship, that's all. I'd figured that it would come from Minato's side and not Kushina's, but it was a nice surprise that it was Kushina.
I suppose a special jutsu for Naruto is still possible now that we know people from Kushina's village are good at seals. Kishimoto could have Naruto study seals and... no never mind, Naruto + study don't go together. He's a brawn over brains kinda guy.
Am I the only one who LOLed when it was revealed Konoha thought women were the most appropriate hosts for the 9-tails, and yet Naruto ended up with it? It's not exactly the epitome of stoic Japanese manliness for Naruto to carry on a female tradition. (Makes you wonder if he's going to end up marrying a Hokage instead of being one...)

It's good to hear someone saying this 'cause I thought I was the only to be irritated about how Kishimoto is a Male chauvinist.Well if he isn't then he got a serious problems with the female characters in this series.
the chapter was quite enjoyable I'm looking forward to see this in the anime,they'll probably dedicated a whole episode for Minato and Kushina story,just like they did in the 166 ''confession'' with Hinata....Ahh,that was nice -_-

i just notized the third hokages namewas sarutobi. and his granfathers name was sasuke. so it´s sasuke sarutobi. isn´t this the name of a famous ninja
