Wow, thanks everyone! That certainly give me lots of yummy stuff to read. 🙂 Please keep recommending anything that you think of!

Lol, part of me is still yearning to see that elusive "growing old together" manga. Wonder if I'll ever find it. 😳

As for the "growing old" part, I'm going to second something that has already been mentioned and that I believe is exactly what you're looking for, Complex: it tells the romantic (though difficult and complicated at times) love story of two boys, starting when the two are in elementary school and ending with them as elderly grandparents. Sure, they're not in a relationship throughout all these years (which may be what you're NOT looking for), since they break up a couple of times, but they do grow old together.

Another manga you may enjoy (although I suppose you must have read it already) - even though they don't grow old 🙂 - is Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou: here it starts with their first year of high school and ends with their kids going to high school. Very good manga, too.

Also, another great choice would be Tokimeki Tonight: begins with the main characters going to high school together, ends with their kids in middle school (I think... maybe high school, don't remember).

Finally, I would recommend one of my all time favorites, although this really may not be exactly what you're looking for (since I don't know how many years the main couple is together, although it does talk about how they deal with their relationship) : Haru Wo Daite Ita. Really original, absolutely great!

For an honourable mention, I think you should read Oyaji.

Not so much because it actually does have a long term relationship between the main characters (because that's put pretty much on the back burner), but more because I just plain think you'd like it.

Moyashi Fuufu is about an elderly couple. Wish it was longer.
