I’m working on a yaoi presentation called “The Good, the Bad, and the Weird”. I asked for “The Weird” suggestions earlier and I think I have enough. (If you want to see what I have or suggest more, please go here.) So now I need “The Good” and “The Bad.”

The Good -- I was thinking either a story with a virtuous, noble, honorable character, or a theme of redemption or self-sacrifice that ends well (no tragedy), or just a really “good” story. I don’t have many ideas so far; I thought I might go the literal route and talk about Tantei Aoneko in which the main character is named “Goodboy”, but I’ve talked about that before.

The Bad – I might go two ways with this as well. First a Badass main character. When you think of Badass, Yamane Ayano's Asami has to come to mind, but I’ve also talked about Viewfinder before. (Although I don’t think you can talk too much about Viewfinder.) Anyway, I'd welcome suggestions for more badass characters.

Then I thought a story that was so bad it was just bad. I read a story once in which the uke had an abusive, cheating boyfriend. So he decided to kill him -- he hit him on the head, and instead just caused him to lose his memory. Then the uke lied to him. It was just really bad, with bad characters behaving badly, and the art was bad. If anyone remembers the name I’ll use this one. Edit: Found it Tsugou no Ii Kimi, but could use one more.

I don’t need too many “Good” and “Bad”, just a couple examples of each, because it will be mostly “Weird”. 🤣

Hi guys, I'm still looking for suggestions for "The Good." I need a story with a virtuous, noble, honorable character, or a theme of redemption or self-sacrifice that ends well (no tragedy). A really "good" story would also be just fine. I'd prefer if they were licensed, but that's optional.

I feel like I've already talked about some that I consider "the good", so I'm looking for something that might not be obvious. But all suggestions welcome!

A number of Minami Megumu's characters might meet this description, namely those depicted in "Sin" (Chapter 3) from Kuse ni Narisou and "Salamander" (Chapter 2) from Sono Ude de Boku wo Daite.

Neither is licensed, and both stories' endings may be open to interpretation, so they may not fit all of your criteria, unfortunately.
