There are quite a few whom I love, though Kyoko Mogami from Skip Beat! is definitely at the top of the list. She's just so awesome! <33

I also love Sarasa from Basara, though I know not many would agree. She was just so...lovely. She cried a lot, sure, but honestly, 85% of the time she had a darn good reason to. Time again she was thrust in situation after situation that she wasn't emotionally/mentall/physically prepared for, yet despite that she always did her best to not only do the right thing, but the just thing (so long as it didn't endanger those who followed her). Her circumstances could have twisted her into someone bitter and cruel, but she never allowed it to. There was this goodness about her that just...shone. And gosh, don't get me started on the massive character development she underwent throughout the series. I so, so enjoyed watching her grow from a frightened little girl into the strong, capable woman/leader she became. 😳

Def. Shirayuki from Akagami no Shirayuki, Yona from Akatsuki no Yona, Hanasakeru Seishounen, a little bit of Saiunkoku Monogatari (she ends up prettying nanoying in my opinion)

Mafuyu Kurosaki from Oresama Teacher.. She is adorable, funny, smart. One of the best leads I've ever seen. She literally makes you feel her presence.

Haruna from High school Debut.. I remember being literally inspired by her at some point. I especially liked her attitude of giving her best at everything even at love! 😉

Nobara from Crimson Hero..another inspiring lead with brain. I really liked the way her love story was depicted.

But that's classified as Josei so my favorite shoujo heroine would have to be either Kyouko from Skip Beat! or Minako from Codename wa Sailor V.

Oscar - Versailles no Bara (Old but such a badass! If you guys haven't read this, you must! It's totally cliché and all but if you think of the time when the manga was published, you'd be able to appreciate the story and characters. The sparkly stuff will make you laugh tho lol.)

Naedoko - Koi da no Ai da no (She's smart and very efficient. I love that she's not your typical shoujo heroine.)

Sarasa - Basara (THIS GURL'S BRAVE YOU GUYS. Sacrificing her identity for the sake of her people? Common. Who wouldn't want to read that and find out why and what are the fruits of her labor?)

Gabriel - Savage Garden (Seriously. Savage Garden was amazing... if it wasn't for the ending. I like the MC. She doesn't fall for the other characters' tricks.)

I also like Haruhi, Tsukasa etc. but they were mentioned a lot on the forum here so for me, it's a given that they're awesome af.

Akari (Omoi Omoware Furi Furare) ^^

I quite like Miki from Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai. cause she is unlike any other heroine. I can't describe her in one word but for me she is the most relatable character.

My favorite shoujo character from a series is Shirayuki from Akagami no Shirayuki, along with Iris from The Duke's Daughter (light novel).
