I'm portuguese and man it was such a lousy game. At the beggining of the 2nd half it seemed there was going to be a change of pace, and we attacked more, but then we reverted to a more conservative style of play.
Nevertheless i'm happy, now on to face Spain or Chile, Spain more likely.

well they played like that because a draw would see both of them advance so they had nothing to gain from winning plus its not assured that the 1st from this group would play Spain as they might not even come first, so there was really not much of a benefit to winning the game and coming 1st in their group. But still they should have played better just to pleaas the fans and to just play the beautiful game really but oh well.

i think brazil wasn't really in it to win it.(alot of passing and defensive play in the second half made me think that) Portugal was also contempt with a draw i think.
Basically resulting in a match like that. I do feel like a red card was deserved even though it was only yellow for some reason. A clear oportunity stoped by the hand of a defender. He didn't even try to deny it, but there ya go.
At least they went through. Its not like ivory was going to score above 5 goals anyway 🤣

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

I didn't see that Brazil Portugal game. I went shopping instead 🤣
Kinda glad I did by the sounds of it. This happens when people think certains games are gonna be awesome, and then they end up being boring as hell. Happens countless of times.
I didn't like the ref's decision in the Spain game playing atm. He didn't even know about that trip, which it was. A trip. Allow Torres milking it for all it's worth :/
Although he should have got another yellow from the tackle before but still, the game's destroyed.
Awesome first goal though. David Villa's on fire.

you should be seeking compensation for time wasted, if you watched the Brazil and Portugal match.

Actually the second half was okay Chile did get one goal back even with ten players, eventhough helped with a deflection.
Need a loving and lovely tsundere wife, anyone interested? >.<
On second thought yandere would also be fine.... O.O

Are you sure you watched the same game...after the goal in '47 until the end it was the most shameful, despicable 45 minutes of football I've ever seen. And no, I'm not Swiss.
Just look how Silva couldn't enter the game for 10 minutes as there wasn't an interruption, a foul or pretty much anything in that 10 minutes. I can understand what Chile did...they were hoping that the Swiss can't score 2 goals, but Spain...

So that's why he head-butt him. Now it's understandable.

Agreed. It wasn't intentional. But it was a legitimate trip, not a flop. Torres wasn't faking that. Shouldn't have warranted a 2nd yellow card, though. However, he should have been gone earlier. Things have a way of working themselves out sometimes.
Glad to see Spain winning their group. They had bad luck in the game against Switzerland, but they actually have played well so far. Didn't mind Brazil-Portugal being a boring match. They were both basically in. There would be no need to risk anything by playing hard in that match. Now is when things get serious, though. With Italy gone, I would think there shouldn't anymore boring matches.

Don't get me wrong i am happy that Italy want home cause they under performed and didn't deserve to go through but i do have to admit. it is kinda depressing to see grown men break down in tears. it's kinda funny how fans change 4 years ago they were heros, they welcomed the italian football team with open arms but now they have pitch forks and torches ready. lol.
Fans you can't live with them yet you can't survive without them.

It'll be the first time ever if that happens. Only 5 of the 16 teams in the group are non-European and South American. Two non-European and South American teams are facing each other (USA and Ghana), so that's one less chance. Who would you think has the best chance? I would say USA, but I'm biased for obvious reasons.
South Korea just scored the equalizer. I must say, Asian football teams aren't very good, but I like the attacking mentality that South Korea and Japan have. They don't seem to be scared of anyone. A trait I really respect.
