Yeah, the comment from the author is really funny but i can understand him. He wants to protect his work and his job!
But:
I live in Germany! The only way to get it totally legal is to import the manga. Does the author know how much this cost?! If the german publishers release "Highschool of the Dead", i will buy it!

I know and I understand it to, realy I want to help the mangaka as much as possible. Because obviously if the mangaka can't make a living out of writing manga, well they'll stop doing it... and I'd lose an important source of entertainement!
BUT: as you said, I'm not ready to import something from japan, (especialy if I can't read it...).
And I must say that most translations realy doesn't do the original work any justice... They should learn from scanlators, they know how to keep the original feel.

Okay, I don't read this manga (currently), but would anyone being willing to post the freetalk that this mangaka had? I'm just interested since you started to discuss it here. xD

has anyone read peeps by Scott Westerfeld. that book was crazy and exclamation he gave about vampires was believable i wish he would write a sequel. anyways the best thing about this manga is that it follows all the major cliches. like they just happen to find gun and some one the team just happens to be military okuto. but its also a true echi manga because like all the girls like the main character.

That the author knew/cared enough about the scanlation community and its work on his work...haha makes me want buy this guy's work even more! 🤣 Only problem is waiting for it and finding an affordable source 🤢

I just got hooked on this series. Gotta say those that think its lame ... hey that's your opinion... I think this story ROCKS... well drawn charas and though the theme has been done before, it still is good horror! I likes it! 😀
