This series is one of my new favorites. The art is great, but the story is a typical zombie heyday. The thing that saves it is that there is a lack of zombie manga. The scanlator group releases pretty quickly too so it seems to be a winner. What do you think?

I have read the 4 available chapters and i really like it. "Highschool of the dead" has a typical zombie-story like the movie "24 days later" for example. The story is about a group of Highschool kids who fight for their life, because most of the people suddenly turned into zombies who want to eat human meat. Like i said, it's a typical zombie-story. The art is very good and the story gets more and more interesting. mrsatan has mentioned it before: The scanlation group released the first chapters very quickly and the quality of their scanlation is also on a high level.

I was kinda intrigued because the title sounded funny, but then I checked the details and recognised the artwork (do any of you know Inazuma from Digital Accel Works?) and had no choice but to download this. Good stuff.

Well, not always "hit of the month." Ongoing just means that the author is still writing it, whether it be volume 2 or volume 45...
