For the people that find thinking of marriage to anime/manga characters as "too far", how far is "too far"? Just the starting process of "oh if I married [name of character] I'd be so happy"? Or looking and seeing if there's an Anime Marriage Prospect profile for the character (those are really old, but the site is still around if one looks it up with a search engine), or if the person makes up a profile for the character (though why would the person wan to share? :lol: )

The daydreaming part isn't that scarey and I think it gets mentioned for those girls in those retro movies that are from Grease's time era or earlier where girls will make a fan club for the crush and then fold when the guy gets married. There was even an expert on the news that was commenting about the girls crushing on the Backstreet Boys (this was years ago), and as long as the girls weren't spending 99% or 100% of their time gushing over them, it was still safe (and sane).

In my opinion, you need some help if you are traumatized enough to want to marry a character that doesn't even speak for themselves. nods So I find it quite funny that people are actually extremely obsessed.

I agree....There are a lot of hot characters that I gawk at, but I never thought about marrying them. I get more obsessed with which male the female lead should pick at the end of the story. 😁
