I can't honestly be expected to argue with every elitist kid on this forum as to why they're wrong. It's a waste of my time, and effort.

If anything, this shows that they care way too much about this subject to be allowed to have post counts. Spoiled brats is a good description of what they're acting like.

random posting can have its good points, y'know. it makes way for a lot of new threads, and honestly, without all of the interesting topics which came from those random thoughts, i probably wouldn't have interacted with the people on this site.
anyways, this is place is created by the people who posted in it, so what's so bad about giving a little glory to them? you can't exactly get that far in spamming without getting locked or warned here, unless your posts have some intelligence.

by the way, i'm not following my own rules here since this isn't exactly school, but there's no possible way you can persuade anyone by completely ruling out the other option. that's what hitler did and look what happened to him =]

uh ok dark_sage i'm definitely with you on the fact that the forums are really in the gutter now and manick is seemingly sleeping .. he's really busy in rl and so is lambchop.. lambchop at one time kept us in line.. :/ you'll find that there was no problem with post counts when i was active at these forums.. and if you check probably only 20% of all posts deviated from the topic.. now days it's the opposite :/ and i know what you mean.. everytime someone wants to speak out about it they flame you in groups.. if you go to an irc channel callled #drake >< i'm there sometimes a lot of the huge spammers the ones with 200+ even are there and so many times i've seen them talking about spamming on the forums. it's seen as cool and the thing to do or some shit or other.. you're right about the mods sleeping because look at some of your posts with a lot of language that stuff would get you a warning once upon a time..

Now about the post count hiding thing..it's kinda useless since the effing spammers are no doubt gonna reveal there's rest assured :/ it won't stop the problem which is the attitude that the forum is no longer an intellectual dicussion forum .. but a shithole from utter crap that should only exist on the shittiest place on the inarwebz for someone with half a brain.. a place called gaia online >_>''' redirect all the spammers there.. literally ban them and make an example of them. that's what i'd do if i ran these forums unfortunately manick won't give me any power since he's all goody goody (love you manick) neways other safer option.. bring in some stricter mods and start making examples of people :/ if they consistently break the rules ban them temporarily if they come back and do it again ... ban them for good... ok now watch the tards come rushing in to flame me they're a "family" lol so dumb ><

First, this is going nowhere... So Locked for any complaints please PM me... And if you still think my decision is incorrect feel free to PM Manick and complain.

Second, Dark_Sage let me remind you that flaming is also against the rules, and it's just as bad if not worse that spamming...

Third, I don't exactly appreciate spammers, or the posts races there are right now... But the only thing in my power is to warn them. And I can also make their lives here a living hell, but it would also ruin it for all the other posters.
Yes, I can lock any thread that goes off-topic immediately... But what about the other posters who really want to have a civilized conversation?

Oh and if it was up to me, half of you guys would already be banned... be thankful It wasn't up to me. But at the same time, it would have made the forum a rather boring place. So I guess that's why it isn't up to me (as would have said Manick).

Well, when I first saw this thread, it was on page 1 and nothing...really bad...had happened yet. So then I went to my math homework (proofs by math induction), then I come back and see how it turned out. Oh well...Good job, Stealth.

I just want to point out that none of us are "sleeping on the job", as has been insinuated.

We've been having massive discussions over the last few weeks, to months, on what to be about the increasing spam situation, which may or may not be linked to the proposed accusation in regards to the post counts.

We've all been discussing it and are currently in discussion as to how to handle this the most appropriate way.

I'd also like to point out that we all do this of our own free time. Most of us have jobs, go to school, or are busy doing other endevors in our lives, as I am sure most of you do, as well.

As a personal opinion, I feel I must state that I am in agreement with Stealth. If it were up to me, I'd just ban the spammers and be done with it. However, that may also not be the best course of action, either.

There are so many things to consider, so please, everyone, be patient.
