I wonder if what I'm asking for actualy exsists...

So, I'm looking for a story where the hero/heroine goes through hardships in some fantasy world (on a journey maybe).
Something a little sad, not comic, preferably not romantic, but I guess it's fine as well.
Something like with the mood of hoshi no koe

Maybe sienen

Not shounen and not a shoujo>< (well , maybe if it's good..)
Shounen/shoujo ai is fine.

I understand that I wasn't clear enough...
I'm looking for something more of a fantasy than historical..

I don't mind good art either>.<

oyayubihime infinity....

the art is pretty, the story is kind of fluffy in a shoujo way... but its not there's enough depth in the characters to make it better than your average shoujo manga... but more character development would have been good

don't think there's too much fantasy sadness though...

good read if you have nothing else better to do xD

i rated it 8/10
(but the problem is i like mindless fluff sometimes... though this is better than mindless fluff-just a bit better ^^)

From Far Away <---I really liked it, middle got kinda slow, but then it started picking up again. Sorry, it's a romance one, but again, I felt it was pretty good.
Darkwalker <--- Action and fantasy, but it's more modern day type. I'm not sure if there will be romance or not, but so far, there isn't.
Variante <--- Again, it's modern day type, but it's REALLY good. And the heroine has major, major hardships, trust me.
Ryurooden <--- Ancient China, war tactics, beware, it CAN get boring. No romance, well, kinda, but it's not emphasized at all.

Yup, I realized, most of my fantasy stuff is based on romance. xD Sorries.

I like romance in the stories I read as well, but sometimes it's just to much and only interrupts with the main plot.

The other two seem to have "old" art, which usually a torn of for me.
