I'm looking for something that has:
good story
pretty art
sci-fi/fantasy
gay couple (they should at least kiss...)

... and doesn't have:
naked ladies
character death
"fabulous" men

Very specific, I know; but I just finished watching Torchwood and now I'm sad and I need help T_T

Marginal - There are some minor characters that die, but you have to read this one.

I'm not sure how well Hanakisou meets your requirements:

The BL content doesn't reach kissing level, and there is character death -- not the main pair, but other very important characters.

I personally like it, because I like stuff like the spoilery stuff up there, but it doesn't 100% fit your requirements.

How about Koori no Mamono no Monogatari? The art and the story are kind of mediocre in the first few volumes, but it's totally worth it later on. No, really.

Oh, and maybe Innocent Bird? It's got more BL content and more consistent art than Koori.
