Yeah, I really want P3 aswell (only a little while longer before it comes out ^_^). I envy you for having the Persona 1 and 2, and i take it that you ment that you were playing Persona 2: Innocent Sin with the english script (seeing as its the first half of P2 that never came over seas). You might want to import the first Persona game aswell and do that too (see as they butcherd the shit out of the first one. i'm not willing to touch the english version of it, because of that). Also just so you know, there is this crazy cool guy that is working on a translated ROM for Persona 2: Innocent Sin (it will be a long time before its finished though 🙁 ), so thats something to look forward to in the future 😁 . Lol i have to say, i think you are the only person on this forum (other then me) that even knows about let alone has played the Persona games.

I actually don't mind the original English version of 1 cause it;s what got me into the series lol. Yeah using the good script for innocent sin. Also I can't wait to watch school kids shoot themselves in the head in 3. This looks like a crazy game so far. Ever play Shin Megami Tenshi series. Persona is a spin off of that. I love them fan rom hacks of the first two for snes. Technical remakes of the nes ones but who cares. It's demon goddess.

The beginning of Akira is about street gangs, and in the end too.
I guess you could consider Tenje Tengo about gangs, also more in the beginning
Fire Candy is about street kids, i guess it has many of the same elements.
although its not directly about street gand, duds hunt is about ex street gangers being pulled back to violence

I read the first two but only skim the thrid one. I like Gokusen the most though. Pretty funny and cool.

Well, I'd second Blue Spring for sure. You won't get a grittier manga in English.
