guys this pool results scared me. I hope its like this: People see Zero as some kind of young Yasser Arafat.(fights for freedom, civilian victims for greater good, never lets his organization to be used by third parties-countries, etc). Suzaku (a practical hero) looks bad when you compare him against a romantic hero. I've liked Zero too. The massacre opened my eyes. I realized that he doesnt feel almost any guilt.I understand he had to kill the pink haired girl but after that commiting suicide/surrendering and telling the truth would be a normal heroic thing.

2 The fact that people can blame S for that nuke thing(when we saw he would rather die then press the button) is....nvm. I like Suzaku. However his practical actions can be sometimes irritating or scary(like not killing Zero in the end of Season one because he wants to save japan as a gov of 11. Letting go of his vengeance is so....cold. Inhuman).

Ps. Btw What was wrong with the ending of Death Note? Or anime had a different ending?(I've only read the manga) Wasn't that a story about crossing the line between good and evil.

i don't hate Suzaku, he's not my favorite in the series be he is far more understandable and less selfish than Lelouch can be at times. i agree with what someone said earlier about a majority of people hating him cause their Lelouch fanboys. honestly i haven't seen anything that Suzaku's done that really credits the hate he is getting. and i don't think the argument of blaming Suzaku for the bomb is really credible either. he's a soldier, being presented with that bomb, he really has no choice but to take it. he has a lot of things stacked against him being in the Brittannian army. (especially since he is Japanese). as a solider Nina put him on the spot specifically when it was presented. plus i don't think there's anything wrong with him having "morals" or doing the "right" thing either.

well i saw the anime...didn't read the manga but.......the simple fact that Light died is enough to piss me off, also the fact that the L-rip off could take down Light when the genuine one couldn't was also a turn off....but anyways lets stick to Suzaku for now.....75% of the people say fuck him, thats good to know, i wonder if it'll go up or down after watching the last episode

Anyways, it seems many more people have started to dislike/hate SuSuck. It's been hard to avoid the spoilers but so far I'm managing(all but 1 miss). Let's hope I get to avoid the ending spoilers >.<

I hate all self-righteous, do-gooder freaks.

No, I do not like Suzaku. Maybe he is a "well-developed character," I don't know.
Most people dislike him because he is a self-righteous hypocrite. That's not exactly why I don't like him. I feel like all of his scenes seem very familiar and repetitive -I mean, in the beginning, I kept seeing "mentally unstable Suzaku" scenes, and now I'm seeing lots of "must be t3h right one" scenes. Every time I see him come up, I sigh because I'll already know what's coming. He just keeps on going on and on in circles, and when I think he's got somewhere, he goes back to to the start.

Also, I hate the "moral lesson" crap someone mentioned earlier. This is hard to explain, but I would really hate it if he ended up being some kind of a moral teacher for the series.

The claim that "the people who hate Suzaku are mostly Lelouch fangirls" is partly true, but it has a lot to do with Suzaku being self-righteous and idealistic. Technically, schneizel, the emperor, lloyd, and other britannian pals are as much of a threat to lelouch as suzaku, but I don't think they've gathered as many haters. It's more maddening to people if a person claims to be morally right (and does otherwise) while opposing the main character.
