The best compliments i have gotten from friends of the same sex are:

"Lago qlo, definitivamente mis hijos van a conocerte wn", it should translate as "Lago, definitively my sons are gonna know you, dude", when my best friend said that i just felt really well, it meant a lot to me xP
"Por eso este wn es la kga, el wn saco puntaje nacional, y aun asi el wn no se anda sobrando ni nada"", translated as "This is why this guy is the shit, even tough he got a top score on the PSU (max score on the national unniversity entrance tests) he is not being cocky", I really blushed with this one xP
also "deep within inside you are just such a lovely person", it felt kinda awkwards but pretty touching...

and from girls uhm... "Even tough i hate you, i can't help but liking you", not in the meaning of love anyways... or "If drunk you are this lovely i can't wait to meet you sober tomorrow in the morning" (kinda weird anyways)

Compliments which have to do with grades or school makes me feel uncomfortable and a bit agitated since I feel I don't deserve it.

Generally compliments which say I'm great at something which I don't think I'm great at make me uncomfortable. I feel that if I don't correct them, it's the same as lying. I'm deceiving them in some way.

Most of the time, compliments like you are so good at "blah blah blah" or you are so nice feel deaf to my ears. Those line feel dull to me because back in highschool there were lazy people who wanted your help with their questions would say lines they didn't really put much thoughts into.

I hate receiving any compliments from my Father or my Mom's boyfriends period. I don't like people who I don't know for years being overly familiar with me. It gives me goosebumps.

I think I would react the same way to a certain compliment regardless of that person's gender.

"cute dog, wow you raised her for 9 years? that is amazing, you must be an awsome person to raise a living being for such a long time"

any compliment i get is good, hence the term compliment. lately i've been hearing a lot of "you're one of the, if not the most awesome person i've met" style compliments
