The whole student/ teacher thing in the cardcaptors manga kinda creeps me out like a lot of people here. Teacher is to old, student is to young, therefore I can't help but think 'eewww' everytime I hear about it. lol.

anyway, this recommendation might have come a it late, but I recently tried reading a manga called Ikenai Teacher, Iketeru Darling (couldn't get through it, it wasn't to my taste cos it was to smutty). it's a student/ teacher manga, though it hasn't been fully scanlated yet.

I liked Kiss and Sensei!. And yaoi =/= shoujo, so I don't really want to see any recommendations for those kinds of things. Psh. I liked Rika and Terada in CCS, personally.

I don't have anything against people's preferences, but student/teacher relationships have never been on my good side of conscience. I understand when the student has a crush on a teacher, but not beyond that. I see it as something disturbing since an older person shouldn't take the young life away from someone who's just learning how to live. It all depends on age difference too though, like someone mentioned, CCS a little girl and an older man. If it's between an older teen say 18 and a 20 year older or somewhere around there it makes it less disturbing.

Switch (shoujo) - My [edit - "second"] favorite student/teacher manga

Suki - This is actually one of my favorite manga, period. I kinda forgot it was student/teacher until right now... so yeah, Switch is my second favorite :-}

I liked Sensei (was mentioned) too until the girl started being retarded.

Help!! was pretty good.

Ah, and I almost forgot Kiss. Used to be one of my favorite manga.

I love Help! It's such a good manga. But yeah, you are right about the girl in Sensei! She really got on my nerves after the first few chapters. She really needed a good smacking across the face. >:-(

Hopefully, at the end of the day, you remember that these stories are purely fiction and none of these characters are actually real and having relationships with their fourth grade teachers.

Psh. Terada Sensei and Rika is my favourite couple in CCS.

i understand your opinion, but in my opinion the max age difference between lovers is 10 years XD but ofcourse they should both be over 16 at least 😃 , well thats for real life, as for manga, they can do whatever they want! as long as it's intresting be it 20 30 40 ...etc age difference i don't mind, bring the goods please XD

Well judging by the description on this series, I would think that it falls into the whole student/teacher genre. H.

Well something similar happens in real life, I'm not really surprised by people's disgust when a 14 year-old and a 40-year-old get together, and I heard they were having sex. It was news that I seemed to have overlooked. But in some places, 14 years old is the age of consent but I don't know if that covers statutory rape.

I was reading CosmoGirl for March 2007 and they think that with a girl that's 16 or so with a 25 year-old, that some people might think he's a pervert. But there's always people that don't like the 10-year age gap even when the couple is 30+ years old, although it's probably less than the people that are annoyed at younger couples. With a young girl and older male, there's probably a bigger chance that he will take advantage of her.

And although what happened on 7th Heaven in the earlier seasons where Lucy was dating her sister's old boyfriend, who was old enough to have a baby (from a teen pregnancy, but his wife died) and he had obviously had sex is far-fetched, it's not like girls couldn't feel equal to their boyfriends before the matter of sex comes up. And plus this could even happen when a girl is older with her boyfriend, or vice versa (there was the 40-Year-Old Virgin with the guy inexperienced and the woman wasn't) and either one feels inexperienced. And I don't think Lucy was pressured by her boyfriend, but she felt that he would lose interest if she didn't have sex with him. The reasonable person would think "If he needs to have sex with someone in order to keep his interest, dump his sorry @$$!" but love and attachment probably clouds that judgement. 🙁 😔

I think for a classmate I had in college, she knew her boyfriend from a friend of someone else's when she was 15, but even though he might have had interest in her as more than a friend (or really he could have just enjoyed her company as a friend), he didn't date her until she was older (18 or 20 years old, I'm thinking). I guess I'm a bit hard on him for thinking he's somewhat of a pervert for looking at her that way when she was 15 years old even though he didn't act on his feelings, but I've read an author that explained why she felt a man that was married, but had feelings for someone else hadn't really cheated, because he did not acted on them. So it's a gray areas here then, probably. But well, there's no law that I know of for a person to be a minimum age to go on a date or be dating (otherwise parents couldn't say, "You're not dating until you're 25!" and there wouldn't be fights of a girl wanting to date at 13 years old), but once sex comes, there are laws to protect minors, and also what that country or area considers acceptable.

I guess I have to agree there (although if the huge age gap was handled as serious relationship with the story focused on it, I dunno...), but don't take the relationships as examples, especially the outrageous ones, no matter how realistic they may seem, although it's sort of hard because the characters or story can seem so real. But that's the sign of a great mangaka, no? 🤣 With all the manga out there, the "friends with benefits" topic has probably come up, and even probably with people that have never read manga, they believe it can work. Maybe some people have made it work, but probably the majority get attached even when that person agreed on no commitment. I read it in the advice column a few days ago. 🤣 😔 😛 🤨 😐

But I guess why we like reading crazy stories is that we enjoy the fun of watching without having baggage if it happened to us. 🤣 😛 😳

What does that have to do with fiction? And besides, I WISH some of my teachers had a relationship with me (From the perspective of a guy, who had hot teachers).

What does that have to do with real life, and why did you assume the teacher is a guy... In the biggest teacher/student case so far, it was a girl teacher seducing a boy (Who enjoyed it).

And although what happened on 7th Heaven

What? NO. Its hollywod drama.

You aren't the though police, don't be so hard on him. Also, he didn't have sex with her when she was 15, so I don't even see how the last 1/2 is relevant.

no matter how realistic they may seem, although it's sort of hard because the characters or story can seem so real.

Its fiction, just like 7th heavan.

I know this is fiction and anything can happen in fiction...however, remember that not only older teens read this stuff, younger and easily influenced ones do too which is why I find it disturbing to see certain relationships between younger teens and older people. I'm not saying everyone will be influenced or carried away but situations like this have happened.

Actually I'd be sort of disturbed if you meant that on more than as a whim (taken, you're probably not longer in school). I'm surprised you had teachers that you thought were hot-enough-looking in school, and maybe that it wasn't just the hormones. But maybe if you took off the rose-coloured glasses and look at old photos, you'd wake-up from your dream? 🙂 shrugs Just saying not everybody seemed as pretty when one looks back.

And it's the screwed up student-teacher relationships (like the one where the student slept with the teacher and she also got pregnant) that probably make it hard for a teacher to give a friendly pat on student's on the back without it seeming more than that.

Well of course I'm not the police. 🙄 Well, short of I did that for my job during the day, but I don't so... And not only the police get to frown down on people. It only sounds "hard" because I happen to voice that I didn't totally approve of him looking at someone so young. It's a conservative view since he's only "looking" but eh, if she wasn't 15 years old but 9 years old, I think the disgust is completely valid. If I had to hang around him, I probably would've avoided the matter since the girl isn't going to become younger short of something bizarre happening.

So you say.

The funny thing is, I'm not surprised that for the movie Father of the Bride, somehow a few people read some kind of incestuous relationship in the father-daughter one. 😔 So as much as you say it's fiction, words seem pretty powerful.

And honestly, there are still girls that think "if I think I won't get pregnant, that'll work," so how do you think there are people out there that aren't naive enough to believe that some of the fiction actually happens or would happen in real life?
