Lenalee barely appears so I don't know why people would get annoyed with her...and whoever said that Allen likes her? >.< Everyone in the series likes her, including Allen, but that's just because she's cute! -_- (though I prefer long hair...)

I say if you hate them to the point of wanting to kill them, don't read/watch the series.
(Of course, this doesn't apply to bad guys, they're meant to be loved to be hated)
It's a little stupid if you do something that makes you angry constantly heh.

I gave up on Naruto quite some time ago..
But the series might be good, regardless of how annoying the main character might be... (and naruto is, awufuly annoying~).
Maybe that's why you see many people complaining on many main characters, even after having read who knows how many volumes of the manga.

About the hatered towards Leenalee..
I don't see what's so bad about her.. I think she is a nice character..
Is that because she cries a lot? Well, she's not as half as bad as Saya from blood+... That girl just freaks me out...
I don't know how romanticly Allen sees her, but it's really fun thinking he likes her, even by the smallest of gestures^^

I think that annoying characters have their roles in manga/anime for whatever reason but I can still find them annoying, if that makes sense. My two would be Sakura from Naruto and that fat kid (Onigiri?) from Air Gear

uh the main girl from Dazzle. and tohru honda form furuba. i just think she's like...stupid. at first she was amazing but then...not.
i tend to hate the girl lead characters, i can't help it! 😁
and my friend loves the girl characters but hates the guys. 🤨

One character I find annoying is Hachibe from Ai Kora (I know I'm going to get criticized for that). However, I just find his obsessive fetishes to be overbearing.

Another character (probably the most annoying in my eyes), Kon from Bleach. His jokes got so freaking old after the 10th time. So, obviously, I'm going to get annoyed now that he's done it hundreds of times. It's always about him wanting to jump into Orihime and Matsumoto's "valley", or how nobody appreciates him. I wish he would die.

Raki from Claymore also annoyed me. Can't really put a finger on it, but I just hated the kid.

Sasuke from Naruto. Funny, I really don't find Naruto annoying because I respect his determination and the influence he has on those around him. I can't think of any other character who is as influential as Naruto. Sasuke on the other hand, I hate the guy. I can't stand someone who would do what he did (completely abandoning your closest friends just to become stronger). I hope he gets a beating from Naruto by the end of the series.

Shinji from Evangelion. More from the anime than the manga though. He actually wasn't too much of a wimp in the manga, but he was annoyingly wimpy in the anime.

Kiriyama from Battle Royale. When you're a cold-hearted evil killer like he is, it's just too much to at least admire him as an antagonist.

Well, like how she always needs protecting? Especially those chapters when they were in the ark. I mean I noe she hurt her legs and all but I think that's just such a lame excuse... Allen was hurt too! >:-(

About Lenalee (Rinari), well, she's fine by me, even if she's too weak and stuff. If you're really looking for a girl who has to be annoyingly protected over and over and over, then that would be Yanagi (Flame of Recca). She's fine too, except that for some reason she has to be protected and the whole story just surrounds around her being protected.

I would also like to point out that I hate female characters who's DUMB with BIG BOOBS. It's a stereotype, but then it's just plain annoying.

I have to second that statement, along with the exceptions. Although for me now, being exposed to to many of the same shoujo characters = now reading mostly shounen 🙁

What could she have done?... If I remember correctly, she fought against a big bunch of akuma to be injured so badly...

Yes, Light annoys me - he would have been an awesome character if the mangaka didn't try to 'pack' too much into him. I understand having a justice complex, but mixing it with god complex... that's just too much. And yeah, Misa was annoying too, but she didn't annoy me as much as Light did.

I think Light was an amazing chartacter. Even though I loved the ending to Death Note I was really rooting for him to establish his new world. He's one of my favourite characters ever. I loved that he was so complex with all the personality traits packed into him, made him seem more real to me than the usually two-dimensional, 'I only have one response to every problem' type characters. Misa irritated the Hell out of me though. I would have killed her within a second.

The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.
