I like to see how every thing looked in the anime compared to the manga and to see my fav characters in action

A combination of a few. It's easily accessible, generally requires a smaller amount of thought than literature, and has storytelling that I enjoy.

I liked anime before I liked manga .When I was in elementary I thought the fighting was much better then any of the cartoons I've seen(I thought DBZ was the greatest thing) and I really liked the humor that was in series like in Tenchi Muyo. When I started to get really into anime I liked it because the stories were better than children's cartoons.

Exact same reason as you. DBZ was awesome, i loved the fighting scenes and the artwork was better than any other american cartoon. I didn't watch Techi Muyo though i avoided that show for some reason. Also I saw rurouni kenshin and yu yu hakusho. Still i didn't know what anime was though. Until i was watching Naruto and One Piece and my friend introduced me to Youtube and to watch those shows there and then here i am. an otaku who now enjoys manga more than anime.

Hmm.. the first anime I ever saw was Naruto (some episode where Sakura & Ino were fighting). I thought it sucked. Then a year later, my best friend introduced me to Ouran High School Host Club and my other friend (my crush at the time too) introduced me to Death Note. They're both obviously amazing series in art & plot. Ouran is just hilarious and Death Note is ridiculously smart/clever.. so that's what dragged me into anime. I kind of fell into it, I guess. japanese cartoons are much better than american cartoons. because here, you have either stupid kiddy stuff or stuff like family guy (which I like, but I can only watch so much of it), and there's nothing in between. it's also a fun way to pass time. ^_^ I don't go out on school nights and my homework doesn't take me all night, so I read manga. I used to watch anime instead though.

and then after the Fruits Basket anime ended without finishing the story, I got into manga. I don't even watch anime anymore though. I prefer reading the manga now. =D

The "Drama" pulled me into anime.
And how they make things more happy and sad to the point where the ending pisses you off.

With anime I can curl up and get lazy in my bed, with manga (scanlations etc) I'd pretty much get forced to sit by the computer and focus on a white screen.

I'm pretty lazy, so I've got more anime than manga (damn expensive shipping costs on manga, more than double the items cost 🤢 )

I voted #3 simply because I watched and was dragged into anime before I can read. ... I have to admit that action tempted me and held me for a long time ... 🤣

But anyway i choose #1 because those anime girls are just so hot.
