That's a good question, I'm thinking he took that fruit to cover his bases. But it's also possible that he doesn't know how to use Haki either. Cause if he did, he wouldn't really need it to be as dangerous as he is.

it's a black hole power not just nulify power and he doesnt have to use haki to use that power aka he can use other tipe of haki with his df power...
and black hole + earthquake = world domination ^^

He used to be Ace's subordinate, and he didn't have haki then.

Why's everyone so happy about okama Sanji though? Sure, it'll be funny for a while, but it'll take out any and all seriousness out of him. Sure, Bon Clay had a few serious moments, but at some points I didn't feel it, and Ivan I could never take seriously. I'm just hoping for new techniques and a very slight possibility of a Haki for him.
As for new techniques, I'm hoping for a few more gears for Luffy. As for the Haki, he's most likely going to master the intimidation and armament Hakis; doesn't seem like he'll need Mantra too badly at that point.
Zoro should be getting armament Haki for sure after his training. He's definitely not going to be strong enough to surpass Mihawk at the end though, because I'm expecting the whole crew to finish their dreams at relatively the same time, and it seems far too early and overpowering for him to be the greatest swordsman at this point.
Nami will have hacker-like skills at charting courses to islands by the time shes done with the Sky Islanders, as well as the Wind knot attachment for her weapon.
Franky is going to become a beastly mech by the time hes through with Vegapunk's place. I'd love seeing him with an X-buster and firing pyew pyew lasers.
Chopper might gain control of his triple rumble form, or might even be able to cook up better versions of the rumble balls, to give him even more forms after his training.
Then we have a weapon upgrade for Ussop, more knowledge of the world for Robin, and no clue what Brook's gonna do.

Perhaps he needed the fruit to accomplish what he did at navy HQ, to obtain Whitebeard's power. We still do not know if there's a limit to how many more powers he'll be able to absorb.

My guess is that Whitebeard's devil fruit power is either the strongest or one of the strongest around, especially in offensive power. Even if Haki can nullify most devil fruit power, it's also mentioned that haki's power depends on the person using haki. I doubt most haki users would be able to defend against whitebeard's devil fruit power, especially with the display of power he exhibited in the war. If I remember correctly, in one of the chapters it's mentioned that his power is feared because it can "destroy the world" or something.

Well eartquakes do destroy the world thats what they ment and they explaind it with pictures daaa 😛
He only made a small quake but even in our world we know what an earthquake can do dont we? like tsunami 4-5 years ago remember? That was an underwater quake...
So that is why it is posibly the strongets around couse if you try to imagine any other df power we seen so far... not one is of that calibar that can shake the world (exept for dragons i think he has storm probobly but we so that long ago and i doubt someone remembers it).

I' m just as excited to see the improved Straw Hat crew, as the state in which One Piece the world is going to be. It's not like the time will simply stop all around them..
Blackbeard will probably become one of the 4 emperors to replace Whitebeard. The 9 supernovas who have each faced pecifista or an admiral will also have to become stronger in order to be able to move on.
Some places in the shichibukai need to be filled in and I can't help but wonder if Jewelry Bonney will be the one to take the place, since she was captured by the marines and might suffer the same fate as Kuma.

Not so sure about this one...do the 4 emperors even need replacements? They aren't appointed positions like the Shichibukai, so there originally being 4 of them is probably as much of a coincidence as anything.
