The main character of Immortal Regis isn't really immortal, as he's more invulnerable. If you're interested, there's also a sequel. Cavalier of the Abyss is what it's called, the main series hasn't been fully scanlated yet, so you should wait before starting the sequel.

3x3 eyes (pronounced sazan eyes) fits exactly to what you described.
there is alot of action and the main character is invincible, whenever someone destroys his body he just regenerates.
the story is good too, there are 40 volumes (completed).
there isn't alot of comedy though.
