| Started off great then by John21 on December 14th, 2009, 7:17am |

Spoiler (highlight to view) great beginning but then it spiralled downwards big time. I found the main character to be absoluetly pathetic crying like a baby all daytime, at one point he is saying i want to protect serin and then he is practically choking her and trying to kill her, too many characters as well and after some time da whole thing like the plot is difficult to follow. |

well guest what!
i just predicted something...the main character will blame that girl(it's easy to guest) and will posses a great dark power then he actualy became insane..he destroy everything without mercy..Serin will always feel guilt and realise the reason he choose to revive that because her first encounter with that boy(first sight love)..of course then that boy will calm down by this girl heart..it's [pretty lame... |

| Reminds me of Bastard... by gelleetin on October 12th, 2009, 12:47pm |

Never liked manwha much (probably because it's hard to remember the names), but high marks for Immortal Regis.
As many posters have already pointed out, the ending was abrupt but it honestly didn't feel as forced as others I have read (Shaman King, anyone?). It takes its sweet time with the revelations and builds to a nice climax, and it actually feels like the story is going somewhere. The main character's relationship is nice and complex, and the art is great if hard to follow at times (the tasteful fan service doesn't hurt, either).
Only time will tell if it devolves into the Dragon Ball/Bible hybrid that Bastard eventually became (no, not bitter about that at all). Hope not >o< |

The ending is not the ending. Immortal Regis is the prequel of Cavalier of the Abyss which is kind of annoying because it would have been easier on the readers if it was just continued in Immortal Regis. But noooo. There's a NEW series. Greaaatt. /sarcasm.
Overall, the story was great. The last few chapters really got to me, because it made me tear up a bit. The main dude in berserker mode is totally awesome. The fanservice doesn't really bother me because it's not thrown in your face, but if you look closely, you will find panty shots and bouncing boobies in almost every chapter. The character designs are nice and the manhwa is actually very interesting. |

I really enjoyed the series in the beginnning ang thought that the the plot was really well done. It was really interesting ang I thought the whole human undead thing was good. Then it suddenly jumped to this part with a sudden power up and then it suddenly is ending. I only gave it a six because the ending was really sudden and quite honestly, really abrupt and bad. I'm glad that they're doing a sequel though. Maybe it will be put together better.
Good art though. Really pretty.

At the beginning, this really felt like it was going somewhere as a standard shounen manga with a protagonist you could easily root for and a setting with some depth. It went on for a while developing the main character, introducing side-characters, developing powers, foreshadowing things, and generally being a good story. Then, well... total meltdown. All of the sudden, over the course of the last two volumes or so the writers: introduced dozens of new characters and political divisions; gave the main character a supposedly dangerous and awesome power that he never used again after it was first mentioned; started a dozen, simultaneous, impossible-to-follow fights; and then ended. Bam. Just like that. The ending focused mostly on characters who had been introduced less than a dozen chapters before, left a gazillion loose ends, and was one of the most random, confusing, abrupt endings I've ever read. It was almost postmodern.

| Fresh..yet Not So Fresh... by Lnc411 on March 31st, 2009, 1:54pm |

I like this series. The art was something I've never really seen before which gave it some uniqueness. The story began relatively absurd... but it flowed well... for awhile anyways. Near the end of the series, it was rather confusing to keep up with what is going on because multiple events are taking place for multiple characters. At one part of the series, it felt like the author rushed the plot a bit (ie: the romance). For the sake of not spoiling the plot for anyone I'll just leave it at that. Nevertheless, a good read. I recommend it.

Somethings are rushed, how does the main character get so much power of nowhere? too many characters inside with little importance that die quickly pd: GREAT ART!!

| Pretty Good by markdarkangel on March 14th, 2009, 9:46am |

To tell you the truth, i like Aflame Inferno way better than this but this is pretty good too. The whole fantasy setting that i like was really good and the story flowed in the begin with the characters but also lost its luster when it was coming to the end.
The art was good and the action was good, i won't even complain about the ending though because their is a sequel for this. Overrall, pretty good.
