every human being should have the authority of their own human rights to their own decisions... thats why we hear "mind you own f***ing business" alot...

if there were goody goody two shoes/self righteous people trying to seed their beliefs into other people's minds, theyre no better than communism or the terrorists we fight today... forcing others to believe in what you believe in as a cult is what communism is all about... we're democracy/republic, as in a the country of USA, so everyone should have their own freedom of deciding things that revolves around them... period.

I don't think you understand the mechanics behind communism and democracy at all. Not all people here are from USA you know...
I guess there's even people from 'evil communist' countries here...

And everybody was just trying to state their opinion, all the posts started with a version of I've got no right to judge others...

--> xombiecrop : yea i do... communists feed their people with the government's moralities, democracy or more of america ... doesnt or more of shouldnt be...
What you describe isn't communism but stalinism and it's completly different,
Communism is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless society based on common ownership of the means of production and property in general.
(it's not that bad in fact).
You do understand the mechanics behind communism.

I don't see how gay marriage and poligamy are related at all. Ô_Ö

I complete agree..open relationships.marriage is something that I am not against as in anyone is free to way to choose any type of relationship provided they arent committing any crime or hurting anyone and all parties involved are comfortable with this.

The thing is I know my disposition, I will get jealous and though I wont go overboard but I will walk out.

Needless to say, it's not for everyone. A polyamory relationship requires a lot of trust and secruity in not only your relationship but also in yourself. Personally, I feel that those in a polyamory relationship actually have a deeper connection with one another. Sounds weird, right? But for one to actually work, there has to be really deep bonds between everyone. Communication and trust is even more essestial in a polyamory than in a relationship between two. Not only that, but you have to trust more in your feelings for the person(s) and their feelings for you as well allowing you to put any jealousy you may have aside.

Not sure whats wrong with it. Personally I have no problem if my partner decides to go with another guy when im dating them, I fail to see how it affects me, as long as it doesn't cut into the time i have with them. I'd never juggle two people (or more) myself only because it's too much bloody work (I mean hell isn't one hard enough?). Personally I could care less what my partner thinks about other guys, I'm only interested in what they feel about me, and if I wasn't sure that I was important to them, I wouldn't be going out with them in the first place. On that note having more than one partner and cheating is different, since cheating involves your partner not being honest.

Extremely well said. I agree on all points.

Personally, I would never become involved in this situation. I have trust issues to begin with and that wouldn't help. As long as both parties are in agreement, there should be no reason as to why I would have a problem with how they choose to live their lives.

i dont accept polygamy and i totally think that it is wrong, but if its other people i dont really care, but if people start changing laws to abide polygamy, like letting 3- up people to get married then that is a whole new issue... i also have to say that romantic love should only be between two people, i mean looking for that 1 person is like hard enough, but then again most people will say taht the more the merrier but that will just make things more complex...and where did the morals of the relationship go?? and where did your morals go??

The problem with polygamy is when it goes on in compounds like in Bountiful there are risks like sex with family. Sex with minors. Being forced into marriage. Boys being left to fend for themselves when they grow up.

This is the problem with polygamy. So if we make polygamy okay for just three people who would like to get married, then we are making polygamy legal for creepy guys who hold second and third wives on the side and crazy people living in compounds.

Polygamy (can) = lost boys and child brides

I personally don't accept polygamy at all . . . : (
. . . I guess, as long as the partners are happy, whichever suits them.

I agree, but the problem with those compounds is their beliefs, not because of polygamy itself. Legalizing polygamy isn't saying that women and children should be abused.

Personally, I don't care what other people do.
But if I found out my 'single' partner already had six wives, I would be >:-(

I'm against it. I realize its possible to be in love with more than one person, but when things get serious you have to make a choice. Otherwise you're just playing around.
