I would say fall sideways to my left. Because i've fallen every which way, and sideways is usually seems easier to hold my arm up to protect my head. I've fallen back and hit my head twice in the past and it was indeed painful and bloody. And falling forward I would be using both my hands to catch myself which will make it hard to use either of them. And I choose left over right because I am right handed so it wouldn't be so bad if I had a injury on my left side.

An intriguing question...I'd probably have to say sideways too, cos then someone can catch you. I've fallen backwards twice before, very hard, and bruised my tailbone both times, which hurt A LOT and made it hard to sit down for weeks.

Another time I fell forward in an almighty trip and didn't stick my hands out in time, so I cracked my chin on the pavement and my top tooth turned dark grey. Thankfully it was a milk tooth, but I still had to have that one taken out by the dentist cos it wouldn't go by itself....

"'Read me back the last line,'" read back the corporal who could take shorthand.

Forward, I've fallen the three other directions, and they all hurt a lot more, because I can put my arms out to stop myself if I fall forward.

Forward. I usually catch myself before my face makes an impact with the ground.
Lol. That just made me remember the last incident I had, where I almost broke my teeth with the stairs, but lucky my reflexes worked and I put my hands forwards so it look like if I was doing push ups. XD
Before I would usually scrape my face, arms and knees... .__.;;;
