Well, if you are trying to make people think "Why not?" using an expression that can make people think you are strongly in favor isn't exactly the best way. I don't really think alcohol is a necessity to society but I more or less understand what you are trying to say. The thing is it doesn't really matter what reason are there to make it legal as long as what supports the contrary position holds more power.

Well you say it "might" not be effective but it puts me on the "why" side of the debate thats for sure.
It is a necessity for example the economy would crash without it 🤣 You don't realise how much tax actually comes from it do you?

Legalising it gives the goverment the oportunaty to tax it and stop the black market!( i bolded the part this sentence answers to.) So really its in their favour.

Why is it such a big issue to legalise it and put tax on it? Surley this will benifit the goverment and allow for more money to be spread in areas that are needed over the country which in effect will also benifit the tax payer?
