I mostly agree with what Lambs said...online friendships are easy, real life - not so much...

But sometimes i really don't care (or I'm just to naive), so unless you're a raging troll I'll believe you're a honest person...after all, this is internet, very serious business...

That being said I've met some people I like to consider as online friends...sometimes I even think 'gosh I'd like to go get drunk with them' 🤣

Yeah... know what you mean... real friendship can be more fun, but you'll have to bear with the bacteria and germs people bring with them.

so i agree with dr. love about the multiple facets perspective and with lambs about there being a difference between online friendship and irl friendship

then..... i forgot the question ...

ah... right!

i think friends are friends whether they are online or irl... they're just a different kind of friend; so like, friends you go out with, friends you live with, friends you play sports with, friends you talk to online (etc), can be mutually exclusive, yes but there are no boundaries which say that one kind of friend is only one kind of friend
and so when/if you become better friends, maybe that friendship will encompass all of which defines a friend....

(and ommmmmmmgggg~ that's almost taken entirely out of my textbook which reminds me i need to be studying)

Well, I have acquaintances online. I met one of my online "buddies" from maple story, and we're cool, I guess. But it was just by coincidence, it's not like we planned to meet up... that'd be weird.

Anyways my real friends are real friends.
That thick and thin stuff that Lamb was talkin bout.

i don't make online friends don't know why....i guess i find the people on the net to be rude (usually) i guess i'm not very sociable in the internet for that reason.... To me is a lot easier to make RL friends

Reminds me of the time I found out that chueisha was a 50 year old grandma >_>

Did that destroy your mental image of her being a sweet loli? 🤣

I've only had two online friends, those two actually meant more to me than any of the friends I've had in my physical life and I think that is something that might just not change. I'd like to add that the friends I've had in my proximity have been great as well, not just larger than life kind of great. I guess I got lucky.

there is difference but a friend is a friend online or not
with people online you can talk about almost everything even things you might not say to your friends
while i dont have many online friends i have a couple and we are in touch for more then 3 years

Do you want to die, huh?! I didn't know you were a 91 year old great grandpa either >_>

I mean there is definitely a difference between the two, but I agree with most that friends are friends and it doesn't really matter where you know them from. There are ups and downs to both groups as well. IRL friendships are harder to maintain and they come with a lot of problems that you don't usually experience with friends online.

Didn't know old farts like yourselves knew what manga and anime was (Must less know what to do with a computer). 🤣

For me, I do differentiate among them. At first whenever I meet someone, they interest me enough to wanna get to know them more, and/or don't piss me off the 1st time we meet.. And once I get to know them more (Whether they're online or not and if they haven't pissed me off as much as I usually can stand), that's when I label them as "friend".

Internet friends are more awesome than friends IRL.
I feel more open spamming with my spam buddies..there's some emo, crazy and happy moments but we all get along so well. I'm even planning to travel to the US and meet one of them this month..

as for Real friends, they understand the REAL YOU better than anyoneelse. My bestfriend understands me..but she's living halfway over the world from where I am now.. I miss my homecountry..and my real friends.. 😢
