I don't think there is difference, friends are friends, maybe you are limited in the activities and time you can share with them, but friends are friends regardless. That is what I think. So, what about you?

I'm not exactly sociable in real life, but well, I do enjoy a good talk with someone. Maybe I'm more open in the net, but I think it's not exactly about communicative skills but medium of communication. that is, I like text more than sound. 🤣

Wow old man, you made a lot of topics in the past hour.

So anyway, I think for myself.....I only have no more than 10 real friends....all the other ones are fake....even though some of them like to think themself as my real friend.

I'm not a big fan of internet friends. If I haven't seen you in real life, I won't count you as a friend. I'm not one of those "OMEGEEE!!! LOOKS HOW MANY FRIENDS I HAVE!!!! 2304 million internet people"

Friends are friends... but I wouldn't say they're exactly the same. Like the way I interact with them are different.

I differentiate...to a certain degree.
My online friends tend to know more of me than my offline friends, thus our bonds are much stronger :\
Online glomps to all my my friends on MU~ ^_^

I don't think I have any internet friends. 🤣

I don't really make friends at all, just acquaintances I see everyday.

Wow, i just thought of scy right away ._. He's been saying this a lot, online friends are better..

In my opinion, I lose interest with real life friends when they go online... But it's not like i can bring my laptop everywhere i go ;;>_> So yeah, it differs in situations..

I have lots of friends online and offline, but i don't have a specific preference, because well, my online friends, i've known for a long time, and real life friends because they all trust me. I find it easier to make friends online though.

Depends on your definition of internet friend, I guess?

I don't know, there's not really a reason to differentiate. As people have already said, there's a limit to what you can do online, but you're still technically with people.

friends are friends. I don't treat my friends differently just because of being online or real life friends. however, I am always cautious and on guard, both in internet and in real life, when I want to make new friends since I don't like to be betrayed like I have been before so many times ... so you can tell making friends for me is always hard, both in real life and internet. 🤢

Yes, I differentiate between real life friends and online friends.

It's a lot easier to make "friends" on the internet, but who knows if they'll stick with you through thick and thin? Or in my case, it's "work buddy" and not really "friend"...Internet people are more of "acquaintances" than "friends." In my book, if you don't meet in real life, it's hard to do much that contains real friendship. Think of it this way, an internet person is not held accountable by you (not in a serious sense at least). You never talk face to face. You don't know if they're lying about who they are, whether that be age, gender, attitude, etc. Not everyone acts the same way online as they are in real life. A lot of outspoken people on the internet can be real shy people in person (or any other variation you can think of). Can you eat with an internet buddy? Drink? Watch a show with and socialize? Play a friendly game of sports? It's all limited to things done via computers and electronics. And can you reveal personal things about yourself to online friends? Perhaps, depending on how open you are, but it's not like you'll ever introduce your internet friend to your parents or your spouse. Your internet friend will arguably never know or care how many siblings you have, how your relationship with your parents is, or whether you're currently financially stable.

Now, I'm not totally bagging on people you meet on the internet. Some people will perhaps grow into real life friends. The older you are, the better the chance that you'll travel somewhere or meet someone somewhere. Or there are others that you meet online and never meet anywhere else, but since you've connected so well, you might as well have met them in person.

I find it easier to talk to real life friends. I thought more people would agree. 😕
