First, if you want recommendations, you should post in the "I'm Looking For..." section. Topics in a specific manga forum should be only about the specific manga...

And BBC Code, that depends on what you want. If you want to put a manga name for example, should be [m]manganame[/m], same for author, but with [a][/a]...

I'm pretty lazy right now:
look in the forums and search for underrated, there is sooooooo much already

I don't know what is underrated for you.
even stuff that has a pretty high rating here on this site isn't that well know outside of some selected few communities so pretty much anything could fit your "didn't read yet". as underrated is completely subjective I can't answer the other part...

read Hoshi no Samidare and pretty much anything from that author
Karin & Mx0 are decent shounen
Yumekui Merry should be your type of manga

as you are a shounen action guy I'll leave it at that and the stage for more qualified posters.
(unless you wanna take a more romance oriented route )
