I cram Maxwell's equations and it's derivations (and all it's freaking variants) so perfectly that I could write it down with my eyes closed (practically), no matter what the time or what the situation.
But... 😐
I forget the whole damn thing when I'm sitting in the examination hall. 🙁
And... 😐
I remember again when I come out of it...
This happens to me even otherwise, all the time.
For me, this is a Mysterious and weird lil' fact.
-We are much more good-looking than we appear in photo's or in the
mirrorI think that's also a mysterious little fact^^
Very true, my nose doubles in size in fotos and my eyes shrinks..I look much better when I stare at the mirror.. 😛
I've heard it's because people are used to their mirrored faces, rather than their actual faces, and prefer the one familiar to them.
no...it's just that camera lens distorts the facial features.
Depends what the distance between the objective and the
target is.

see that's contradictory to its nature. Without the curvature and the bending of the light going through it, the effect of lens would be lost.

-Hearing your own recorded voice.
I *know *I have a girly voice, but I sound like a sickly sweet little girl on recordings. It makes me laugh pretty hard.
I look horrible in photographs, but very good on film... I guess it's the way I move?

The fact that I, and many others I've encountered, can easily type in codes for credit cards while not thinking about it but as soon as one starts thinking it always gets wrong.
Also, the way I never think I look good in photographs while others always think I do well in photos.

I thought maybe aesthetically people look better up front rather than on fotos but not for everyone which is why we have the 'photogenic' term... I am extremely unphotogenic and maybe the ppl bking is talking about are too...

personally i think i look awful in photos, film AND in real life. photos are worst, i used to avoid them like the plague, and still try to. i noticed that i never look natural because i don't like the way i look, i always end up doing something stupid like sticking my tongue out.
as for hearing my voice recorded, i always notice how i have really similar speech patterns to my brother. i also always sound really sleepy and sluggish on the phone, so i try to avoid that too ^_^
my contribution:
i learnt yesterday that a recent study has suggested correlation between severity of morning sickness and baby's IQ.

I use it as an indicator of my test results. If things feel like they go to hell when taking the test I'm walking away from there happy as a cat in a barrel of cream knowing I scored big.
@Mogiks:
I read that study too in some Swedish newspaper. Didn't put much stock in it though... But could be interesting if it were true.

My mother was extremely sick and hospitalized with both me and my brother-yet were *very *healthy babies. I grew up knowing about those studies: They've been around for a long time.
I can't speak for myself, but my brother is a born genius. What kid builds and stress-tests bridges at the age of four? Top marks when he took engineering in university. He's never taken an IQ test, but I'd be rather afraid of just how high it might be 🤣
