A few extra pounds

Work out, and eat better.
Or, what I do, that normally works, is I replace Soda/Milk with water, and replace chips with carrots/bell peppers dipped in soy sauce. It'll help you lose a couple pounds, if you exercise a bit. (Do note, however, I've never tried to lose more then 5 pounds at a time. I have an extremely high metabolism, so its not normally necessary.

I don't know if this was said already or not but all diets no matter what kind can cause serious health problems!!!
Instead of dieting you should eat whatever you want three times a day, but in regular hours.
Some of the better programs, such as Weight Watchers, are no longer "diet" programs; they've changed themselves into "eat healthier" programs. Weight Watchers doesn't prohibit you from eating anything - they want you to be aware of what you take into your body and how it affects your body. They also have you write it down, because people who write it down are more likely to lose weight than people who don't.
They also suggest eating smaller "meals" 4 or 5 times a day instead of saving up for "big" meals, but you have to learn the signals when your body is telling you it's hungry or it's full.
I've lost 30 pounds in the last 4 months, so it seems to be working.
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

Go to college.
Believe me, you get so much work that the only time you remember to eat is when your stomach hurts and you realize it isn't indigestion or gas.
Fun Fact: I lost 23 pounds in my 1st semester as a freshman without even realizing it. 😲

Just because someone's head was chopped off doesn't mean they're dead. That's just silly.
When I wanted to loose a few pounds I just ate less than what I normally do...and it worked.
No running, no fitness. The only thing that changed was the amount that I ate. Not what I ate. I could eat takeaways and I was fine 🤣

I don't care too much about losing weight but I do want to lose fat.
I starting to do a easy workout of simple stuff like push ups, lightweight curls, sit ups, and some jogging. I am also trying to add dieting too.
Bump.
You know, the basic stuff... Sit-ups and push-ups. 🤣 Oooh, and cut down the snacks! Or just don't do them at all. They really make a difference. I've never jogged (out of my own will) in my entire life. Maybe once or twice with a friend. I find it much more easier to bear the physical activity with someone else besides you, even if you don't talk. I like silence, anyways.
Once I get a steady income, have free time and easily located, I'll subscribe to a gym again. I used to go there once, but I stopped. I subscribed for a year, and only went there ~20 times. I'm lazy, sue me. Luckily it was cheap (for a gym). At least now I have the determination, rawr!

Hmm that doesn't really apply to my experiences. In fact I gained weight because I often ate at restaurants or simply fast food stores with my dudes and I don't really know what you mean with "much work" ^^.
Go on holiday somewhere hot.
The heat makes you eat less.
I lost a whole stone when I went for 3 1/2 weeks. I could hardly eat anything without feeling sick when I was there 🤣

I'd eat more healthy things than fast food(don't like it anyway) and all that stuff. And do more sports, that means to be less on the computer...
If I'd drink beer, I'd just drink less or drink something similar or different as a substitute (in Switzerland you're allowed to drink beer at the age of 16).
Oh and I'd sleep more. If you sleep insufficient, you get hungry more often. When you're asleep you get hungry, too but less.

Nowadays my diet consists entirely of cigarettes, water, and whatever is in the vending machine. I highly suggest it.

Count calories. No matter what any of those diet ads say, cutting calories is the number one key to losing weight. You can exercise all you want, and if you aren't eating less than you burn you won't lose weight.
Write down every single thing you eat with its calorie content. Don't let yourself slip up. Make yourself a limit and if you go over it, be ashamed of yourself. Some people say the key to weight loss is happiness and self-confidence, but come on. If you were really confident about your appearance you wouldn't be trying to lose weight at all.

First of all, exercise builds muscle, and muscle burns calories even at rest - so eating fewer calories AND exercising will be much more effective than just eating fewer calories.
Second, how the heck do you count calories on EVERYTHING? Maybe I just eat weird, maybe I cook more than most, but I just don't see how people can keep track of every calorie they eat. If I'm making something, I taste it while I'm cooking. I know the calories add up, but really, do y'all figure the calories on 1/2 tsp. of muffin batter, three noodles (eaten to test if they're done yet), a slice of carrot eaten while cutting them, the last canned peach piece, etc.? 😕
Third, looks are not the only reason for weight loss, health is also a factor. A person can be happy & confident but have a health condition that makes losing weight very important. It may be less common than losing weight for looks, but it's definitely a valid reason.

It's not that you have to count all of the things you eat, its just that you need to avoid drinking your calories. I can testify to that, I stopped drinking soda and lost dang near 60 lbs. That was the only thing I changed about my diet.

I knew someone who stopped drinking pop and lost over 40 lbs. I can't ever give up pop; I drink it daily. My weight is not an issue, but I'm probably not very healthy with the crap I put in my body. 🤣
I also had a friend who counted calories on everything he bought, ate, etc. After a while it became irritating that I didn't want to be around him. What made even more irritating was that he looked perfectly normal. He was 145 lbs at 6'0". I really didn't see the point.
I never really have to lose sufficient amount of weight, but I wanted to get toned at one point and I did so by running. Maybe it depends on the person, but running for me seemed to work several areas at once. And it feels refreshing.
