1. weak, crybaby heroine
2. seemingly endless lineup of love rivals
3. fangirl confrontation/ bullying
4. mean jerk to caring boyfriend 180
5. male protagonist swoops in to save the day (like a bajillion times)
6. happily ever afters (for EEEVERYONE, seriously, even the villains)
7. drab to fab metamorphosis
8. all of the above
9. are ya kiddin' that's what makes shoujo manga great!

EDIT: @kitty: To put all Windows under one category: Windows. To put all Linux kernel based under one: Linux. To put Mac OS, Mac OS X, Newton OS etc. under one: Apple. This is why I corrected Apple to Mac. "Mac" doesn't include Rhapsody (not that anyone uses it any more), "Apple" does. Latest "BSD" version came in '95, but FreeBSD, OpenBSD and others are still supported. For the simple reason of logically simplifying the answers.

These are the major operating systems for personal computers, with multi-boot taken into consideration. The "other" option will likely equal to >1%.

I was going to suggest the same thing as the two posts above.
However one thing is wrong. Apple, and mac are not OS.
(When thinking Apple, other things would be something like Microsoft.Which would be more company)
(When thinking Mac, other things would be HP, eMachine, Acer. As these are all brands of computers).

The correct OS for apple products would be OS X (for macs), or iOS (for iPods, iPhones etc.)
