I've read Yaoi but never Yuri ... not sure why though. I am interested in starting so if you could spare a few minutes on some suggestion that would be great ^__^ ( I somehow reminded myself of Tony the Tiger ...)

For some reason I think I avoided Yuri because in my head it's like a Shoujo with the emotionally weak female, but now there's two O.o . (Which I know not all Shoujos are like that, and probably very few Yuri are like that as well).

Things I would prefer not getting suggested.

• Emotionally weak lead (Only time I'm okay with this is if the partner is very cruel or something)
• Crybaby lead (If it's constant crying than definitely no, but cries when happy or something is fine)
• Bondage
• Extremely light fluffy stories.

Things more to my taste

• Darker theme , angst, incest, twisted sorts
• Deep emotions (Like very obsessive and/or passionate)
• Completed, or almost done.

I'm really okay with everything (minus the stuff I said I don't prefer), oh and I would probably prefer Yuri over Shoujo Ai because I do like "showing" their love to each other. I find that Shounen Ai is ok, but never enough for me, so I think Shoujo Ai may be the same.

A majority of translated yuri series are supposed to be sweet and happy....so this could be a challenge (angsty or disturbing yuri oneshots are much easier to find)

I just wanted to give Yuri a shot, and figured I should try a good one that possibly in my taste range.
I'm okay with sweet and happy, just not too much ... You know the point where you feel like your suffocating with all the pink and happy. (I hope that makes sense). I'm also fine with oneshots.

(I guess I am scared I would pick one that was too fluffy and then I wouldn't like yuri because I picked the wrong one to try.) So if there's a sweet and happy yuri that's really good please suggest it. ( ... just not too fluffy)

-Sidenote: hmmm need to make a new custom list now.
