I'm looking for a romance manga where the potential male love interest has a yandere personality, and preferable shows both sides to the protagonist (boy or girl, doesn't matter because I'm fine with either shoujo/josei or BL).

I prefer if the guy is aware of what he does when his personality is darker, and if the girl/boy is the type who fights back, and please no hentai if possible.

'Yandere (ヤンデレ) is a Japanese term for a personality that is initially extremely loving and gentle, but is really/becomes deranged or psychotic, often brutally so.'

For example (I only know female yanderes, you can also check here for more examples):

Kotonoha Katsura from the adult visual novel School Days, Shion Sonozaki from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Asakura Ryouko from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya to name a few.

Did you read Beast Master?

100% Perfect Girl main male is pretty much what I would consider a Yandere...The Yandere personality starts showing somewhere around vol. 3 but you get a preview of his personality at the beginning of vol 2 though

it was in the form of the heroines nightmare

P.S. Even if it's not stated here in MU, vol.1-6 are already scanslated...try to find them somewhere on the net.

I really wouldn't consider Beast Master as having a Yandere character since Leos' problem stems more on his way of life and acts as a defense mechanism rather than a psychological problem concerning his love life

Yes, I have read Beast Master before and now that I look back on it, I realize Leo can be considered yandere.

You should try Cutie Boy. Two of the leading male characters (one comes later on) have tender yet, at times, brutal personalities. It's quite funny too. 🙂

The male lead in this can be very dangerous at times. Never to the heroine though, which I find nice, but might not have been your intent.

Hmm, I haven't finished Kare Kano but Arima is nice but then he become darker and seems be a wounded heart at the end of the anime series. (The manga continues afterwards, of course.)
