favorite type of romance plot? probably an anti-social, honest, and harsh girl who's really nice and sweet at heart with an optimistic and fun guy who's social and but is hiding dark thoughts and serious parts of himself away. i like it when the two main characters are totally opposites and their opposite qualities keep them together with twists and turns. i can't stand love triangles though and i can't stand them falling in love quickly or tragic endings. i also don't like it if it's obvious what's about to happen and character development is a plus on both main characters.

My favorite is when they set it up like a love triangle and you think it's obvious who she's going to end up with (though the other guy is tons better IMO!), and in the end she ditches "Mr. Perfect" for the "Rival". It's why I will always adore Fruits Basket.

-love triangle (if main character chooses the third wheel in the end, big plus!)
-they actually have a full on relationship and do more than hold hands

-Reverse Harem (love!)
-Where the romance actually develops from friendship, like Kimi ni Todoke
