I'm glad, since I can't wavedash, hahaha.

Btw, I REALLY hope you guys still have your Gamecube controllers. It's like a whole new experience with the Wii remote w/ or w/o the Nunchuck, as in you're too used to Melee and Bros that the new controller styles are REALLY hard to get used to. You'll know what I mean when you first try it with the standard Wii controllers.

Well wavedashing really wasnt all it was cracked up to be, what really made Melee was the L cancel, but since they still have teking (I dont really know how to spell it, just how to say it) it should still make for some fast paced action.

That slower falling speed seems like it might be kind of bothersome though, my friend said that recovery was so easy with just about every character if you are hit even just a bit above the stage level, he also said a lot of the recovery moves were too good and that you pretty much have to send them off the side to kill them, since they will almost never die when falling to the bottom since recovery is still easy.

Oh well, I still expect it to be better than Melee, if only because of the greater variety in playing styles and move sets.

Loooks awesome. My brother has watched all the trailers he can find on it, and I've been watching over his shoulder. Custom level makers, new characters, final moves. All look awesome.

I can't wait for it to come out. I loved Melee as well, really.

Falco is going to be unfair with that laser lock move.

I have heard that this game is quite glitchy from people who've played it.

I doubt its that bad, plus Melee was damn glitchy with wave dashing, the black hole glitch (look it up on youtube if you dont know what it is), and well when I fast fall sometimes my character appears to have a seizure. Really though I doubt that Brawl can be that glitchy since it pretty much makes use of the same mechanics as Melee.

Well so far I can remember that Jigglypuff has an infinite final smash glitch, and Toon Link has a two move combo that can instantly kill no matter percentage.

I heard about the toon Link thing, however thats not exactly how it works. Its his smash down A and what its supposed to do is hit you once sending you in one direction, and then again sending you the other way, I guess you can say its pretty much like Gannondorfs smash down A in Melee. The problem with toon links attack however, is that if you try to use DI to "escape" the second strike, since the first one has so much directional force behind it, that since you dont get "saved" by the second attack you just go flying off the screen instead. I havent heard about the Jigglypuff glitch though, that sounds bad and I hope they definitely fix that before the American release (though it sounds like it shouldnt be hard to fix). Also something to note, I think Nintendo can do bug fixes for games now since the Wii has internet connectivity, so hopefully that is the case.

Either way neither of those glitches will affect my gameplay greatly, since I dont plan to play with items in versus mode (unless its just for messing around), and the toon link one is totally avoidable to good and bad players alike, since good players know when to use DI, and bad players dont know how to use it at all.

It's a good game 8]

I loved it~ Don't like Link now though - he seems weaker.

Kirby is some-what back to his original SSB phase - they really made him sucky [no pun intended] in Melee.

I love Pit - I'm like, obsessing over him. XD I don't like his Final Smash though. His return jump is superb though - makes Kirby and Yoshi look like crap.

I also enjoy Dedede. <3 He's really strong. @_@

Kirby's Final Smash is really really really good. And so cute at the same time. XD And I love how he's stronger now. ^__^ <3 Didn't like how they changed him from the original game to Melee. ;w;

Yoshi and Kirby were my favs in Melee, and I still love them in Brawl. ^__^ Though I seem to have been abusing Pit all day.

Ike was pretty strong - I really liked him. But... his return jump is bad. >__<; I didn't like it. Got killed too many times cause of it.

No wavedashing... sniff That thing saved me so many times in Melee. ;_; RIP Wavedash.

Overall, it's a pretty good game. :3 Subspace Emmisary is pretty cool, but it gets boring after a while.

I love online play - because of that feature, I'll probably never get tired of it. XD

I just got it about 6 hours ago and its definitely a great game. It has a very different feel though compared to Melee, its not that its slower, but rather that you cant rely on an insanely small time gap between attacks to make up for the fact that you suck at shielding.

That said I am rather annoyed that I cannot dash cancel...probably the only thing I would say that Brawl definitely would need.

The Subspace Emissary mode is actually quite challenging when you havent mastered the new feel of the game yet, I find it hard to keep a good stock of lives on easy mode (though I will jump off a ledge to see if there is a hidden area down there if I am suspicious). I really am going to tread trying this mode on the intense difficulty setting.

I would probably have ot give Brawl a 9.5 out of 10, and it only misses the mark because you cant dash cancel anymore and there is a slight delay after jumping before you can attack, so you can go insane with the aerial anymore, which somewhat disheartens me as well. I do love the new physics engine, it seems to work a lot better than the older one and the results of colliding attacks is a lot more real than before as well. That said I will probably come to love it more over time as I adapt more to the changes.

Toon Link is AwSOmE!! His jump goes higher than regular Link's and also his midair down A attack plunges him tword the ground instead of falling at regular speed. At first I thought he was kind of stupid and a rip off but he's like my favorite character now. Snake is the king of indirect combat, I love planting mines and using his upward smash. He's got to be one of the better characters in the game. 😀
