I think 8-12... although I may have picked up a volume of one of the random pokemon manga adaptations earlier, if memory serves.

I bought a volume of Trigun in sixth grade, so I was probably about 10 or 11 (I was the youngest in my year).

My first manga.....oh i remember all too well. I was 12yo & at Costco when I saw a 3 volume manga set of Cardcaptor Sakura: Master of the Clow. I started freaking out because I used to love Cardcaptors (until I watched the original anime, then I hated Nelvana) and forced my mom to buy it for me. Then I came back a week later and all those manga sets disappeared :/

Ehhh for me would be about 9 I think? I was reading some chinese manga called "Hero", yup I think I'm right because I still remember running to my dad if I don't know how to read some of the traditional characters.

Perhaps that led my chinese results to be pretty good. 🙄

The first manga I bought was Trigun, and it came out in 2003 (in the US).... I was a sophomore in high school, I was either 15 or 16. ^_^ They were just starting to become popular in my school at that time.

O_o... evidently my date's were off then. I was still 12, but I was in 8th grade. Why did I think sixth?

Think it was around 12, 13, I rounded up for my voting. I remember going to my local library carry huge stacks to a comfy chair spending almost my whole afternoon reading.

Then i found scans and have yet to leave my computer screen. 🤣

I was 13 when I started watching Naruto. Then I heard I could read what would happen later in the manga. That's how it all started for me.

I think I was 18 when I started reading manga and that was when the anime of Naruto had about 16 episodes of filler subbed, which I just did not want to deal with anymore (I still had dial-up back then)... So, I basically converted to manga because of that, and it was more of a compulsion then a desire to read at that point.

And now, I've been reading ever since.

i grew up watching animes like DBZ and yuyu hakusho...
the discovery of manga was at the summer of 7th grade...i was 13 back then...fufuufufu...thats because of OHSHC...come to think of it the discovery is because of a traumatic school life...fufufufufu... 😐 😐
