[quote=Hostile]No it's GlaDOS.
I thought Glados had a different voice. Wait, is this spam?
If you have to ask if it's spam, don't post it. It's not though. I'm not going to spoil anything on Portal here but I can guarantee you that's GlaDOS.
As for my choice pertaining to the topic title:
Immortal Technique's "You Never Know" for a sad love story and "Dance With The Devil" for something sickly beautiful at the very end. Just to **** with you.
I hope you guys listing Japanese songs as "most beautiful song ever" actually understand every word.
ooo, didnt think hip-hop was available. im waitin on aho's hip hop list but b4 dat..
joe budden : Man's got problems.

My list>Immortal Tech as far as beauty. I wouldn't call him beautiful, more like raw as hell

For those who like Blues, Jazz, Fusion (bedob, ahox2, robo88....etc), this one's for you.
St.Germain - Sure Thing (featuring the vocal samples of John Lee Hooker)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mlq0BJlDGT0
Also somewhat agree with Sijy and Funkmu1 regarding Beethoven and the Ico soundtrack.

I listened to this song a couple of times over the last day or two and never realised it was John Lee Hooker.. now listening to it, it's so obvious 🤣

Right Here Waiting For You by Richard Marks
What can I say? The song is just touching. Unlike other love songs, the words actually mean something and he sang it with such emotion in my opinion. The first time I heard it, I started crying for about half an hour.
Final Fantasy
If you haven't noticed Final Fantasy has had amazing works in the music industry. Actually, I can't think of one piece of work whether it included words or just classical, it still touched my heart or calmed me down. One of the most famous would have to be Eyes on Me.
Genesis of Aquarion by Akino
It's actually the english version of Sousei no Aquarion by Akino. I don't know what to say about it other than the fact that it sounds beautiful.
Stories by Hitomi
I don't even think that the song is in japanese. XD However, it's quite refreshing and relaxing. It's not your everyday pop or R&B song you hear. It's pretty unique and actually has articulation, dynamics, and uniqueness you can hardly find in a regular everyday song.
Elgar Cello Concert 1st Movement by Jacqueline Du Pre
I have to say that the 1st movement was my favorite one. Especially when Jacqueline Du Pre plays. Her playing actually proves what the potential of Elgar can reach. Even Natalie Clein can't compare to Jacqueline Du Pre.
August's Rhapsody
I don't know the composer of it but it's a classical type of work and it really is refreshing. I don't know the history of it and when it was composed but it was in the semi-recent movie August Rush and it was played with such fascination. I think it's quite a new piece of work by a live, breathing composer so not many people have heard of it but listen to it. It's quite nice.

Here's another one.
It's such an obvious choice, but I don't think anyone has mentioned it. Many of you have surely heard this somewhere, but probably didn't know the artist/producer.
It's by The Undisputed Kings of Dark Bliss,
Massive Attack - Teardrop

Right now, the ones that come to mind are:
-The ending covered song to Evangelion - Fly me to the Moon (by that specific singer for it)
-Nell - Thank You
-Lee Soo Young - Dungurani
-Nelly Furtado - All Good Things (Come to an End)
-Katherine McPhee - Over It
-Wheesung - Walking over Heaven (Haneuleul gohrohso)
-Rasmus - In the Shadows
-Dashboard Confessional - Am I Missing
There are so many more, but those are the ones I can recall right now.

^Fly Me To The Moon is the name of a Duke Ellington song (or Art Tatum... I can't recall), but I don't know if it's the same one.
I also don't know how anyone can legitimately state that a pop song is the most beautiful song ever... Have they not heard Sonny Rollins or John Coltrane? Or Billie Holiday? 😕

I got a few that I consider to be beautiful in my opinion;
Olympic Flame by DJ Tiesto - Although I don't listen to much Trance music much, to me this is the perfect example of what a Trance/Techno song should be. I could listen to it all day, and would still find it beautiful and exciting.
Sousei no Aquarion by AKINO
Angels by Within Temptation - I really like the lyrics in this, and the singers voice is truely beautiful
And finally...
You Raise Me Up - It's been sung in so many languages (Japanese; Romeo x Juliet theme for example) and still hits me deep inside every time. =]

everybody on that list except for Pharcyde and Blackalicious were at one point or another considered pop music.
