I'm curious...
would you classify Ulquiorra as a Vasto Lorde class or as an Adjucha class? He looked like he pretty much retained his humanoid form to me (except he grew wings)

Well, from the hints that Kubo gave us, it would be likely for him to be a Vasto Lorde, but on the other hand he likes to deceive us as well. I mean, we all thought that Ulquiorra was Nr. 01, but he wound up to be Nr. 04.

I recommend reading Maximum7 scans. They take longer but they are usually of much higher quality. Ulquiorra says 'espada of rank cuatro and above'

Ulquiorra's release is interesting. It looks good although I would have preferred it if he was wearing armour instead of a robe. The question still remains, was he originally a vasto lorde? It would explain why the top 4 espada are forbidden to release inside las noches. i reckon when ulquiorra was an adjucha he had a bat like appearence. Maybe when the top 3 release they will also resmeble their adjucha form. I am looking forward to ulquiorra's flashback, it should explain a few things.

Ichigo is all beaten up, even though he's using the Hollow Mask he can't keep up with Ulq's speed.

Ulq avoids Getsuga --> Ichigo takes it out again --> Ulq is undamaged, Ulq says "Human Level after all"

And shoots a black Cero.

It's all Ichigo vs Ulq except for a scene where Ishida tells Hime that Ichigo will be alright.

The mask Ulq destroyed returned back to normal.

The chapter ends with Ulq doing a powerful attack called, "Dark/Black Cero".
