I wonder if anyone ever found the RE games scary? I used to think they were scary when I was younger then I was introduced to RE2: Directors edition...somehow going through the game with and infinite gatling or rocket took the fear out of the game for me.
And RE4 was too cool to be scary

I can say the scariest game I have ever played was Phantasmagoria (has anyone else played it) believe me there is no and I mean NO game more scarier that this!!

i havent played many scary games cus my brothers would never let me touch em but i tried playing the fatal frame series and i was 2 scared 2 turn a corner...especially when this big guy with really long arms came up and started slicing me 2 peices. -_- i luv it tho. i own the 2nd one and i play when my brother isnt home ^_^

I think I was around seven years old and it was the first one that scared me.There was a scene where a zombie was eating a team member. It turned it's head around slowly and when I saw it I got scared and put it away.
I forgot to say what the scariest game I played was. Anyway for me it was Silent Hill 2.

Silent Hill 3 was one of the scariest of the series. I really enjoyed the setting and story. It scared the hell out of me.

F.E.A.R. was pretty normal to me, just like Doom3 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., nothing to scary!!

A scary game was Dreamland 3 an RPG-Maker-Game, i think only german people know it, well i think it was fun, but the MUSIC was so scary i stopt playing that game, i think i was something like 11 years old.
Fear is just shit, because that game is old and the graphic nothing "serious"
I think one of the scariest games were Bioshock and parts of Crysis!! (i think something like level 6/7? where i enter that big alien ship, and there is no noise and then suddenly thouse shitheads are attacking from everywhere
But the MOST creeping and scariest game is GEARS OF WAR!!!
I played that game, and everytime i was hunted by a berserk, it just gave me the shivers.
(sorry for my english, if you find mistakes, keep them!)

FEAR is shit, but Bioshock and Gears of War is scary? Bioshock was boring and I was never scared of Gears of War.
Hmm there is a game thats pretty old but I bet if it was remade, it would beat all the games listed here. Said game is Clocktower. There is no way to kill the bad guy in that and he can attack you from anywhere, anytime. Also EVERY choice made in that game affects who lives and who dies, including yourself.
