I would like to go one day, but I'm usually either working or broke when it comes around. Irony can be such a pain. 🙁

If someone REALLY wants to meet me at AX (no clue why anyone would wanna do that, but whatever...), pm me here and leave a cell # so that I can call you and locate you. And yes, I'm attending all 4 days. And I'm still working on this site late at night...sigh

Registration:
Very quick lines! Much better than previous years

Main Events:
Longer lines than I remember...At least they were mostly in the shade or inside. Too many people are attending AX now, so no clue how to solve this problem...

AMV Contest:
A lot of the AMV's were a disappointment even though they were supposedly "finalists", but oh well...Some good ones at least!

Reminder to self:
Never do bag check in again...There was a freaking long line to get my backpack back after the AMV Contest

Masquerade sucked this year. Didn't seem like enough entries. Still some good skits, but too many of the ones I disliked...

For the people who actually went to AnimeExpo, you'd be surprised to know that I actually helped work at a booth. Here's an interesting picture of it:

Doesn't have me in it though. And sorry, but I didn't work in the yaoi section of the booth either. I was the one selling imported games, and would be positioned in the bottom-left of the picture where the pillowcase of some character is.

Last day = spending spree

AH man. i really wish i coud go... but i too am Canadian (and a broke on at there).

I was wondering if its still going or not, and if any body could ask Dark Horse what the status of their manga series are, namely Translucent, and Viz whats going on with the Shana novel and why the hell is it taking them 10 months to release the second volume of Ral Grad (the Blue Dragon manga)? if it is over, then does anybody know if they spoke about these things? is the only thing a really care about hearing from the con (as i have been very disspointed in how dark Horse have been treating their manga).

Con and panel reports for those who are interested.

Lots of new licences, but nothing that I'm really excited about.

Oh man lambchopsil if I knew there was a way to run into you I would've (I haven't had time to visit the forums in the time I was at LA)... ahaha. My group spent a lot of time at Little Tokyo (our "staying place" was literally across the street from there), so we were cruisin' around there in spare time, as well as going to random restaurants recommended or that I went to before.

... but yes, it was awesome this year. Registration was a breeze compared to last year. I was there all 4 days as well, though Artist Alley was easily my favorite area. I'm glad they managed to get that there as well, since it was a nice open area compared to at Long Beach (that was just plain messy in general).

Naturally, the biggest event for my little group that traveled 300 miles to get to LA was meeting David Hayter... oh man, that was epic. His Q&A panel was hilarious too. ^^-b

Next year, I'll post a little earlier about how to find me...
I think I'll be able to get an exhibitor's badge too~ (from a friend)

I only went the first two days.
Registration was REALLY fast. I think at most.. I spent only 5 minutes there. No line at all. Whew~~
Artist Alley was SOOOOOOO much better than at LB!! It actually reminded me a little of Anaheim.
But I was slightly disappointed at the lack of the Japanese artists this time.

I didn't go see the AMV contest but I heard there were some good ones. My friends really liked the Harassment of Kyon and Ouran High School Never Ends. (I think the latter because that song was sung at our graduation slide show presentation ;P)

Saw some good cosplays this year~ I saw the CUTEST hyper Tsuna. XD
And I saw a group do the whole gang from Digimon season 1.
But as an avid Taichi fan, I only asked to take Taichi's picture. But he was soooooo cute!! Makes me want to cosplay as Taichi too ;P

This year I cosplayed as regular schoolgirl (I already had the clothing) and as Winry. Surprisingly... I actually was complimented as Winry. And people recognized me as Winry. Maybe b/c it's my first time cosplaying... It was kind of weird and scary. >__>;;; I dunno if I want to do it again...Saa~

Anyhow! LACC was much safer than I thought. There were still a lot of random mean-looking people (I'm sorry... I'm a tiny Asian girl who lives in the safe bubble of the suburbs) lurking around but being in the huge groups made me feel pretty safe. I was disappointed in the lack of food joints nearby.

Looking forward to next year~

Actually I'm looking to be a staffer next year, so let's see what happens... =P

@joeshen: Maybe~ If I feel like it I might post a picture of my ugly self on the forums. I already put one picture of my schoolgirl one on the picture thread. I was workclothes Winry though
