It's official. After a LONG LONG LONG time in a FAR FAR FAR AWAY pc it's user - namely me - succeded in establishing a ratio of 1.00 in his utorrent client. I am very pleased with myself. I believe in the philosophy of file sharing - specific of torrents (the only one I know) - and finally made it true for myself...
What about you guys? Is there anyone that cares like me or are you just leechers. So as to be clear, I dont want to blame or accuse anyone, I don't have any problem with what anyone does. I believe it's up to the person to do what ever he/she wants. Me, I want to have a ratio of 1 so I seeded and now that I did it I feel good.
Just curious about others..

Wow. I only seed for those sites that check ratios.Other then that i leave new torrents on for an hour or two until i feel like deleting the torrent.

My upload rate typically ends up a little larger than my download rate on large files, so I'm being screwed a bit, but... well... whatever.

I only seed for sites that track it too, but I seed like a mofo. My ratio at Boxtorrents is 2.510 with 682 bonus points.

i'm ashamed to say that i rarely ever seed torrent files i've downloaded...perhaps only accidentally, whenever i forgot to turn it off or when it's finished at night

Mine says 439 GB downloaded, with a ratio of 3.257 so yeah, I seed. 😃

Basically I'm a leecher, I don't use torrent that much though, and my upload speed won't allow me to reach good ratios. There was a time when I used to upload stuff, but not anymore. Ô_Ö

I try to seed with a minimum ratio of 2, unless the torrent has been seeding for a while (around a day) and the upload speed is low or 0. I've never uploaded anything though. Since everyone is sharing:

I used to at least try to seed when I had cable. Still had a crappy ratio (.65ish) but I made the attempt. Now I'm stuck with crappy DSL though and the upload speeds are so slow I don't even bother.

Last time I used bittorrent, I wound up uploading a lot more than I downloaded, and much faster. I felt that bittorrent was leeching me. And then stopped because if I did it here on my school's internet, I'd get caught and expelled.

Not that I've downloaded much; just about 12 movies and 2 episodes of this one Anime I used to watch. I guess that adds up to a lot of GB, but oh well.
