well, she could pull a Tsunade and be impossible to kill with her healing nature...just one possibility out of many until her real bankai's confirmed.

of course its yamato are you joking. i cant cry for romance animes or any of the $hit but damn when ever i see that guy i get that "O SHIT" feeling and i get choked up because hes so intense you can almost feel the aura of his resolve it seeths becuase his so old and confident in his ideals judging everything in absolutes "if you betray me i will kill if you" "if you love me i will protect you" you see these cliche mysterious shounen characters who always have the monotone apathetic stare the fact that he walks around all day and wheres this totally realistic facade and a minute later he shows his real side its his ambiguous personality who out of all the bleach character i would fear the most iono i just kind of reminds me of myself i cant help but respect hm hes the kinda of motherf#cker i could be best friends with.

why isnt ishins name up ther he would probably be the strongest one but if i have to chose from the list i would have to say aizen and will the arrancar be able to go bankai?

*I just went through a couple chinese sites, and they all have the same thing.
The technique was incomplete while yoruichi was still there, when you were still here this ability was still incomplete, etc. Not to mention, Soi distinctively said "Do you remember? the ability of my suzumebachi?"
now why would she say that if it was yoruichi's?...

I agree with Greydrak.. It's a wrong translation.. It's probably supposed to be.. 'The ability that I have never been able to master, when you were still here,..' Watch the anime episode.. I think it has that same translation..

@Shmoke: I totally forgot about Isshin.. But that's why I put 'others'.. Just to be safe.. Now, that I think about it.. I haven't listed the Spirit King nor his guardians, and I assume they're Shinigami's too..

Personally, i think Soifon will have the strongest bankai.

Her shikai already has the abilty to kill someone in two shots.
Therefore, it's only logical that her bankai is a one-hit-knock-out.

I'ma have to say my man Urahara, he is just the top tier of awesomeness. Even when he had Renji train with Chad, he said that his bankai wouldn't be able to help chad get stronger, that just makes me imagine a bankai that woulda ended chad instantly.
